Sat in M4 two days ago and felt like I was in a pick up truck, the hood is so high I couldn't stand it. I really don't get current BMW product strategy. Just design a proper sports car already or loose your enthusiasts.

GT350 pressure ... a little bit maybe?

That's because seating position is nice and low. E92 was too high and they addressed that

I would not need door panels - nor ac nor sunroof nor electric seats nor 20inch wheels.

any extra wires for in cabin I can do without. Can also do without carpeting cabin and boot area- custom floor would be amazing. electronics cannot live without - speakers up front only.

can live without dash as well.
is that going to far.

Easy question to answer: no, no way, no how, and hell no!

The above answer will hold for 99% of the people seriously in the market for a dual purpose sub-$100K DD/track car like M3/4.
We want to give up nothing, get more power, and go arm-chair racing with a beer in one hand and you know what in another. Any questions ?

Those who are in the market for dedicated $150+K track car, are likely shopping for a GT3 or P1. But it will be nice to have M3-GTS out mixing it up on track, as Z4GT3 is getting long in the tooth....

Amen to that.

The only reason for GTS is so that BMW can homologate it for entry into various racing series. Sounds good enough reason for me.
