Volk ZE40 fitment - F80 - Is this your car?
Back in the day, I'd be going as aggressive as possible without regard to tire widths but at the same time I would lower coilovers as low as they would go.
Fast forward to today, I not only daily my car but also drive clients and future in-laws so I've had to take a more conservative approach. It's also why I have a F80 vs F82. The sedan is much more practical for these reasons as well. That being said something in my head still wants to try and squeeze lower offset 19x10.5 in the rear even though I'm only running on EAS's Macht Schnell springs. Found this pic online, is this anyone on here? Curious to know what the specs are on these wheels. I'm assuming most people with my setup are running 19x10.5 +34 but I know that some people are running as low as +22 in the rear. These are questions I used to deal with on the daily as I was in the aftermarket industry for many years and hate that its come to this lol. Thoughts?

i don't know of anyone that carries 19X10.5 +34. most of the 10.5" rear wheels have either a +22 or +20 offset. I believe the 11" come as +34.
that being said, if you have use the stock tire sizes (275/35), you should be able to fit the +20 at the back. if you want a wider tire, the 11" with +34 is recommended.

that being said i have 18X10.5 20+ sitting in the garage right now waiting to be mounted once the weather gets warmer. i'll find out the hard way if they fit once i decide on springs as well. kind of curious myself. worst case scenario, i'll very slightly roll the fenders to avoid rubbing.

Hey JNM3. The ZE40s are gonna look so hot on your car. It's such a good looking wheel. Are you not considering the 11" ET34 rear? Is it because you want to repurpose the OEM tires?
Here's a couple pics of Uponone76's car with the 11" ET34 rears with 295/30 MPSS tires. |

10.5 with a +22 or +20mm offset is far too aggressive for F8x cars. It can be done, but not without a small rear tire and maybe even some camber for clearance. I wouldn't suggest it.

Yeah and I got a better deal on these. Was just planning on swapping my OE tires onto this setup. This color looks dope in the sunlight and I think the silver flakes should work well with Moonstone.

Currently I'm running a 11 ET40 on the rears with -2 camber. The 10.5 ET22 will stick out 12mm more than my set up. I can not imagine that I can fit a 12mm spacer on my set up without some major stretched tires. |
