Super clean dude! I think lighter colored wheels will look better on this color. What suspension and wheel setup are you running? Your fitment is nice

I find the brushed dark clear to be the perfect blend of dark and light gray. I also have a lighter gray wheel from my e92 M3 but I find there to be too little contrast except when you see more gold hue out of the Moonstone Metallic.

Wheels are 19x9.5et22 with 265/35 (or 275/30) and 19x11et42 with 305/30 (or 295/30).

MCS 2WR with F/R 700/1100 lbf/in (divorced rear). Car has been corner balanced.

Ahhh I seee yea I was thinking like silver silver. Chrome might be a bit much but silver.

Ahhh are 40 side walls too tall for this car?

I would never run a chrome colored wheel. The silver I’m talking about is the e92 M3 359M wheel. Actually, I have a picture with my stock 513M.

You’ll have to run 18” diameter wheels if you want a 40 series tire.

Agreed chrome is too much for my taste. The silver is perfect. That frozen bronze color on the 736m cs wheels is so clean too just don’t think it’ll work well with this color. Maybe even anthracite would look clean!

And ahhh makes sense, thank you!

I had a set of anthracite wheels on it when I first purchased it and I found it to be too dark against the various shades of Moonstone. That’s why I went with the brushed dark clear.

Ahhhhhh that’s great to know! The brushed dark clear seems to be a nice middle ground

Maybe a short you tube video might give you a better idea how the dark brushed clear blends in nicely but even gives it different contrast.

Here’s my first set of street-track wheels for my f82. The colors match well with most shades on Moonstone but then they fight against each other a bit more than when the Moonstone gold hue covers a large portion of the car where the dark brushed clear blends better.

Oh damn that’s actually crazy, that looks way better from that video. Thanks for the video reference!

You’re welcome

I spent a lot of time deciding on what color the second set of wheels will be. IMO, I went with the correct wheel color for Moonstone. The change in Moonstone color with lighting and viewing angle worked well because the dark brushed clear color also changes with lighting and view angle.
