Usually “V2” products end up being much better for reasons I don’t need to list. This felt like a “beta” version for sure.

I think it would be beneficial for them to do a little test on their product before unleashing it to the masses.

I have their splinelock sitting as a paperweight because I couldn’t find a reputable shop that would install it, I just took their CBC off after seeing the post about broken Chinese hardware, and I considered buying their valve cover but didn’t hear from them after asking some questions.

I was also looking at their valve cover bc i hate the oem one. What were u asking them about it?

Simple requirements like “do I need a special tune” or “gap your plugs to xx” would be acceptable “make sure you set your parameters to s58 coils” etc

I can answer this definitively for you, No.

The dwell time adjustment is pretty small from the S55 stock map compared to the B58.

I have been running B58 coils for well over 2 years, it sounds like you dont have the longer spark plug boots, because my car ran noticeably smoother with the B58 coils, even at idle.

Ok, this result is EXACTLY what I wanted!

Ok, VTT sent me the longer boots, which I used and installed per instructions. I’ve changed my own sparks for 13+ years in all my cars it’s not rocket science so I don’t think I missed anything. Also considering I did it literally 5 times last week, I def did it right lol.

The ONLY thing that I didn’t think of, that shouldn’t matter anyways, is that for whatever reason VTT boots didn’t work with Turner MS coils (again not a SUPER popular mod so idk if anyone has even tried that combo).

Smoother idle is what I wanted tbh. What’s ur setup? Did u have to adapt your tune at all? Betting you have nexys?

Yes I realized that after I replied.

I mean exactly what I did...the install isnt rocket science.

Im gonna do this again with the Nexys kit and Dinan coils and see what happens...maybe in a few weeks tho. Gonna enjoy the thing for now lol

For what it's worth, if/when I go down the b58 coil route, it will be with the nexsys kit and Eldor b58 coils; Eldors seem to be the strongest performers from the testing I've seen.

FWIW, I used the Nxy kit with their boots supplied and also bought Eldor coils. I had the same problems as OP described and just went back to stock.
