I have a 2016 ZCP and I have been pulled over by the cops. I ask why was I pulled over he said don't worry I'm not going to give you a ticket. But I want to let you know your exhaust is very loud. So I went home and ask my son if it's really loud and he says yes. My wife always say can you turn off the noise on the car when you enter the block. Love it

With enough lead time and a willingness to pay roughly $7k, maybe 50/50 I would guess. There does not seem to be a formula, but if you are willing to pay and wait for 6 months plus while they research feasibility etc, I guess it is possible.

Actually, I had figured on $10K if it was completely custom, so $7K would be nice! And I have time - am looking at a September 2018 ED, so plenty of time to arrange it.

Yeah - just some of the photos seem to vary from red to almost a ruby color - it's quite a shift.

my guess would be it's in-between as the top pic is clearly over saturated and the bottom one is under.

Maybe I'll just ask Kindig IT Designs for the a formula for Candy Apple Red and send that to BMW. I wonder if I can ask for extra coats of clear on top so it can be sanded back to reduce orange-peal?

While that would be great I doubt they would do that. The individual process has a limit. While granted the f80s are hand painted as opposed to the f82/3, I doubt they would do something outside of their process like extra coats. Unfortunately, it seems as if orange peel has become a fact of life. Although I will say, on the individual colors I have seen in person, orange peel does tend to be less noticeable. But granted I have only seen a handful.
