Some minor observations:
-The side mirrors top arm does not connect to the door, this might look really weird in person. -The perforations in the seats look "interesting" and do not seem to be placed in the correct locations for ventilation. Can someone determine from the shot of the climate control on the dash if the seats have a ventilation control? -For those that want to track their new m3/4, it is unfortunate that these new seats will not allow the use of a 4point harness (one piece seat & headrest with no pass-thru, but I might know of a workaround). With that being said, they are growing on me. - Is that a camera just forward of the front wheel (it's not painted body color like the front bumper proximity sensor)? Forgive my ignorance, I havn't checked out the latest 3/4 series at the dealers in a while. |

I think what's making the M4 less attractive are the rims. Even as 19's, they just don't look right and don't bring enough of a presence. If only they just brought the 20's from the concept...
It's funny how there was so much praise for the M4 concept but now, at least here in the forums, opinions are a little more divided between the M3 and M4. If/when I make the jump, I think this will be the first time II'll go aftermarket for a set of rims. Hopefully RAC are back at it making a bespoke set for the M3/M4.

From zooming in on the close up front wheel shot it looks like 265x35 19 ( but it's a bit blurry. They are the Pilot SS.

Some minor observations:
It's hard to tell for certain, but it doesn't look like the roof stripe that was on the Concept made it over to production. Maybe that'll be offered as an M Performance part. The seats are a huge step forward from the E9XM offerings, but a step backwards from the E90 M3 CRT seats and the E8X E9X BMW Performance seats. Why couldn't we have hard-backed seats? The exhaust tips are absolutely hideous. Those rolled and tapered tips that were on the mules all these years actually made it to production? Seriously?? Does not bode well for the exhaust note at all. Bit of a wheel gap on those cars -- ZCP in a couple of years should fix that. Incandescent turn signals all up on your $80,000 car. Enjoy.

Both cars look absolutely amazing, but I like the M3 better - there's just somthing about 4-door sedans being capable to outrun most other cars on the road
And the YMB looks WAY better than expected!

I´m not a fan of the normal 4er (I think it´s butt ugly) but with this M4 they really got it right!
edit: Still prefer the 3er though..

Maybe in the distant future an M3 F80 6MT in black/silverstone/white would be an option.
Depends on how agile it is and how the engine responds, because nothing beats a >8000rpm engine on paper Cheers Robin |
