hmmm, this looks cool, but in reality, what is the major purpose you all CODE it? like what major changes and issues do it solve?

You should take care that you've minimized the folder tree.
If you have minimized it and you see only one folder, then mark it and THEN click the save button. Now You've everything saved. If you have marked just your left paramter and click on save, it only saves this one change. After you have saved your changes activate your FA and click FDL coding.

That's all.

I think in your case it takes your coding cause of FA change and V0 Coding.

In case before you maybe just not saved your changes correctly so it didn't has your changes while coding.

Great work guys. shawnsheridan sent me the latest files and instruction and helped me out through a few install issues.

I successfully coded a few things working off the F30 spreadsheet. However, I was really looking forward to coding in Euro LEDs- attempted and failed. Working off various instruction sheets, including the VO Coding Step-by-Step guide provided in the intro post, I edited the SALAPA-element to remove 5AP & 8S4 (Step 5). No issues working through subsequent items (Steps 6-12), however, the last page of the Guide identifies:

"Dazzle LEDs: FEM_BODY & KAFAS2 …. Or FEM_BODY & FLA3"

What Elements within FEM_BODY & FLA3 should be addressed? I'm used to seeing something pointing to Module, Section, Function, Value. All other things I worked on had me work through this to change the value, Save, then Code FDL.

Same is applicable to the enhanced Blue Tooth (Satellite Radio / Enhanced Bluetooth: HU_NBT … or HU_ENTRY & CMB_MEDIA)- my car is equiped w/ HU_NBT2.

Next on the agenda- Adaptive LEDs, then Rear Fog lamps

It's saying you VO code those modules instead of FDL code each function in the module. Basically VO coding is applying all the standard properties that are defined by the currently active FA.

If I'm understanding this correctly, after changing VO (by editing the SALAPA-element to remove 5AP & 8S4), I'll just need to "Code the FDL" for FA each module (FEM_BODY & FLA3). Seem accurate?

Depending of the options you have already on your car, you can add for example the option to fold your mirrors or close the windows from the keyfo, add office menu to your I-Drive, see your text messages on the screen, get your seat to move back when your enter or exit the car, etc...there are a lot of features that you can activate by coding...
