Using 54.1, no issues with coding HU_CIC, KOMBI. The others had the missing cafd errors

Your car has 55.0 on it so you are screwed as there is no working version of 55.0 PSdZData due to BMW AG's Trimming of PSdZData CAFD files.

So they re flashed your ECU? Do they warn you that they will be performing that service?

My car on the way and opted for LEDs to code adaptive lighting only. I think that I need access to FEM Body to do so, or the CAFD files need to be there in order for it to re-write itself...

Did you launch E-Sys directly or using E-Sys Launcher? You must use E-Sys Launcher.

Picture of actual error is too small to read.

What is your I-Step Current and what PSdZData version are you using?

Thanks for the help to all (on this forum: Catania830 and shawnsheridan) for the missing links.. coded 55.0, early tests perform with enabled options as they did prior to the dealer update without having to downgrade to 54.

Appears they might have trimmed, but didn't change the logic.. lets see how the car does in the AM...

Unfortunately your car has 55.0 on it, and there is no working version of 55.0 PSdZData due to BMW AG's Trimming of PSdZData CAFD files.

Wait...

does this mean even with the updated software in the new cars they can be coded then?

I have my car on order and was bummed to read you couldn't code it anymore. From reading this, it seems otherwise.

Please inform.

thanks.

Shawn, I'm getting some CAFD file not found messages when I right click SVT and select read Coding data. Here is my I-Step:

I-Step Current: F020-15-03-502
I-Step Last: F020-14-07-505
I-Step Shipment: F020-12-07-530

And I am using:

v.54.2_PSdZData_Lite

Do I have 55.0 on my car also? And if so does that mean the car can't be coded at all at this point or just for the CAFD files that are missing? Should I stay away from any kind of coding for now until an updated PSdZData for 55.0 is available?

Would be awful if I can't code anything just because the dealership performed an update that I didn't even authorize.

I'm really looking to have Tire pressure and temperature, DVD in motion, and Auto start/stop default to off. If I can have these things even with the missing CAFD files that would be great. Here is a list of the missing CAFD:

By using the 55 files and copying over 54.1 and some from 54.2... was able to code most ECUs (got DVD in motion, tire pressure readings, disclaimer removal, HBA, windows open/close etc).. No issues so far. hopefully you'll be able to with your new ride also.

How do we all feel about actually continuing to discuss this out in the open? Shadowy IRC channel anyone? :P
