Yeh i can vouch for that, standard M to GTS settings was almost light and day, felt like the car it should be. Less jerky too.

I have PSS all round on my M3 running BM3 stage 1, perfect tyre if you like throwing it sideways around roundabouts.
Not a confidence inspiring tyre in any other conditions than dry, I've been caught out multiple times by the lack of grip even just in damp. It's unpredictable, the level of wet grip changes so dramatically at lower temps and you really have to be ready to countersteer if pushing through twisties. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy driving a challenge; it adds to the character of the car, but when it brakes tractions coming out of a corner in 3rd... it definitely gets the bum'ol going. I don't see the requirement for winters if you live in the south, just adjust your driving style and drive with caution. The M3 has a lot more tyre on the road than 90% of other road cars. It's other people you need to be worried about in icy conditions. My current PSS rears are spent, dropping it sideways into roundys does take its toll. I was going to run PSS Front and PS4S Rear but BlackCircles had an offer for £40 off when you buy 4 Michelin tyres (code 4Mich40). I have opted for the larger rear section 295/30/R20Y. Paid £947 for all 4 PS4S, fitting included. On my A45 I went from PSS and PS4S and the difference was night and day, the level of confidence which formed as a result of the new tyres made it feel like a new car. I have high expectations for the PS4S on the M3. Tyres are being fitted tomorrow, so comments to follow. |

Thinking of going wider with my next pair of tyres. What’s the best (larger) size to use on the standard 19’s? Does it have an effect on the accuracy of the speedo?

Who actually sells the 4s in M4 sizes? I can't seem to find any!
