Looking to buy a 2014-2015 M4 Coupe
Hi fellows,
I'm looking to buy a early model year M4 Coupe. They are a few ones for sale with over 50k kms and was wondering what things I need to look out for in the car other than service history, exterior and interior condition and whether it has being tuned before or not. Thanks all! |

Got a 2014 mineral grey m4 for sale if youre interested
Main thing is service schedule/maintenance really. No huge major issues on the F82 platform to be too worried about, so just the usual mechanical checks etc. I guess better to keep an eye out for which cars are more heavily optioned in your price range. |

RE: OPTIONS
There weren't that many options back in 2014. The two off the top of my head that may not be optioned are: 1) Extended leather (leather over the dash) 2) LED headlights (Bi-xenons were standard back then). RE: TUNING/FLASHING/CODING Many cars have been tuned/flashed/coded which appears to be permanently logged by the car's computer and your BMW service department will be able to see this in the log. RE: TECHNICAL BULLETINS 1) I believe all the 2014 M4's were recalled for the airbag replacement so make sure it's been done to save you the hassle. 2) Check if the brake dust shields have been replaced by BMW. The original dust shields trapped little rocks between the disc and the shield which caused loud grinding noises. |

I'd be more concerned with service history and what if anything was repaired replaced. |

I believe in Australia we are still protected by automatic consumer guarantee (after the factory warranty period) under Australian Consumer Law.
However, if the dealer can prove the car was previous modified (and could be linked to the issue you experience) then you would likely be on your own. |

The Australian consumer guarantee is, at the very least, open to interpretation so I believe if you find yourself in that situation you should seek professional legal advice.

NO idea! But the butt dyno is telling me its making a LOT more than stock. I feel the power gains are a bit more than the power gains that I got from stage 1 MHD tuning my N54 335i from stock so that sounds promising. 91 octane OTS map's torque delivery comes on smoother than the 93 octane for sure as well. Wouldn't recommend to run 93 octane map for Australian fuel.
