Cool Do you regret having an M3 when the weather is bad?

Last November I was down at the dealership to get my wifes BMW X3 oil changed and figured I would look around. While we were waiting I started to walk around like I always do and check out the other vehicles on the lot. I noticed that had a 2018 M3 on the lot with the options that I wanted. So needless to say I ended up in the salesmans cubicle and started to crunch numbers.

I had just paid off my 2015 335IX and always wanted a M3. So I traded in the 335IX and made the deal on the M3. At first I was very excited while driving the car however in NY you have all kinds of weather. If its sunny outside and no rain then the M3 is great but if its raining or a little snow forget it. Also around turns at fast speeds the back end usually swings out where my 335 hugged the corners.

Sometimes I think about my 335IX and the way it handled compared to the M3. I wish they would of came standard all wheel drive like they do on the M5.

Just curious if anyone else thought about this? Good thing I got a winter car for the winter because the M3 would of been a disaster in the snow.

This is my first post on this site so please don't crucify me. (LOL)

yeah its been awhile since I had a rear wheel drive. Its okay as soon as winter is over then I will be a happy camper. I can't really afford the M5 now. I just saw what you were talking about with the next M3. Man if they make the next M3's in all wheel drive I will be all over that in a heart beat!

Welcome OP.

We've got lots and lots of discussion about winter driving with an M3/M4. Please do a search.
