CS Hood - Inquiry for those who've done the retrofit

Looking to see what exactly you get with the OEM CS Hood part order. Is there a box provided that is stable/sturdy enough to keep my OEM hood inside of while storing it in an outdoor un-insulated shed?

I'm very short on in-home storage space, and given that fact, my wife has been a saint with 12 mounted wheels/tires stacked up in her closets, I'll need to have a storage plan before even seriously considering doing the hood.

Thanks all!
RB

if you park your car outside as I do, the whole car including the hood is outdoor and insulated. You could also sell the OEM hood or have a crate made for it. Whatever box the CS hood comes in though you could easily put the oem hood in it and plastic wrap the box. maybe add some desiccant on the inside as well, or vacuum bag the box.

That's really what I'm looking to find out if there's a box/crate included or if it's just shit cheap and thin cardboard with like foam and plastic wrap on the part.

Yes hood on the car would be outside but would be subject to good airflow and in my shed would have other things near/against the box.

I wouldn't think theres any value in my oem hood in the current color, and would certainly want to keep it for a future return to stock.

We've installed a few. OEM CS/GTS hood comes in it's own box (cardboard).

Well. They're our closets, but they're much more mine than hers at present. she's a real trooper.

Not all for the f80 I'm afraid. And would love to add another set for it to boot.

The box that the GTS/CS hood is delivered in should suffice, something to note it comes with 0 packaging material and is held in place with a few supports.

May want to wrap the stock hood prior to putting it in the box

It does not come painted. I've only ever seen one case where a guy ordered his car with all m performance parts and GTS hood here in the US. His car was stickered at $130k I believe. It's a individual purple vert in the Bay
