Many thanks for posting this! I had read before of it being installed slip fit style, after seeing this thread though I had my doubts. The tapered pieces make sense now

Mike, you mentioned the above when buying a Remus midpipe. I have the stock exhaust and plan to keep the stock axel back and use the Remus midpipe I bought from you. Just checking to see if I will have the reducers and clamps pictured in this thread?

BMW ultimate dick move making the exhaust one long piece. FFS just let us swap an axle back without having to cut or reweld it when you want to go back to stock.

So my Remus Midpipe did come with the 2 reducers and 4 clamps. My shop was able to just cut the stock midpipe and clamp on the Remus midpipe. No welding. Shop charged me 2.5 hours labor. Sounds great. Thanks Mike for helping with the group buy!

you should have contacted remus, they would send you special clams that would fit.

Here is a video of what the stock F82 exhaust sounds like when you just add the non-resonarted Remus midpipe. I think it sounds amazing considering how inexpensive this is compared to full exhaust kits. Let me know what you all think.

I so agree, I'm running this setup since over 3 years now but gonna pair the Remus now with a DINAN exhaust.
