For your car makes total sense, but man for a Cayenne don't think I'll be ticking that box (plus I think 2025 will see some discounting) |

I was going to skip getting the GT4RS initially as my allocation was, at first, a end of 2023 allocation. However, due to all the delays in production, my car allocation was pushed back to a 2024 model year allocation for DTLA. Why this is important is because at first, I couldn't get CCBS OR PTS. Something my dealership knew was must have for me. I kept the email of my GSM pushing both for me but... Porsche is Porsche so when they say no, you can't do much about it. I told the GSM at the time that, i wanted to delay and change allocations with someone because during the year I wasn't sure about it. They did lift Ceramics though for 2024 model year along with changing, adding a few options. As well as increasing the damn MSRP. They only, finally lifted PTS but it was after my allocation and they weren't accepting many (according to peeps from RL who complained about that too). Since the 718 Spyder RS was now going into production, and even a simple paint stripe is pushing a car 5-6 months behind delivery schedule, you can just guess how long a PTS would take. The guys at exclusive manufacturer is just very behind on things, they are overwhelmed. I had initially wanted to push or change allocation but the GSM told me they (dealership) isn't sure about any allocations past the 3 they know they are getting so, he basically told me not to risk it despite that I would have a better chance of getting PTS, I would risk not getting the car at all if changed my allocation. There were rumors back then already that after this batch of 2024 GT4RS, Porsche may pull the plug on production, that rumor picked up recently and I haven't known for the GSM to lie to me. If he said he wasn't sure then that is Porsche being hum about it. So... I either did it or don't (at that point). Arctic Grey is a color that is something I prefer. A non-metallic, flat color. I would have done Nardo Grey for PTS anyway, which is something oddly close to Arctic Grey. So, I said okay and now we are close to December and the car got pushed back since September because of the hood and wing stripe. Yeah. Think that's it. CCBs is a must for me. The current gen CCBs for Porsche is amazing and I been spoiled by it on my GT4. I wouldn't go without it. My issue with Arctic Grey is that, it was the launch color for Porsche for the 4RS, which means there are a lot of these colors around at the moment. It is very popular, because I guess Porsche realized while Chalk is hyper popular too, they want a color close to Nardo Grey also... soo they made Arctic Grey. Then made a metallic version of it for 718 Spyder RS after. Quote:

"Guess what bitches? we have pricing power and you're out of your mind if you think we're not gonna use it. Remember that $90k 911 from a few years ago? "Porsche is like the ESPN of car companies when it comes to PR: they raise prices and stick it to their customers over & over but somehow never get the blame. (ESPN is famous for more/less inventing "affiliate fees" which they charged the cable companies so when the consumer's bill goes up he blames Comcast not ESPN). On the Macan topic, you know one thing I see very little of here in Germany / Switzerland / Austria is Macans & 718s ... maybe I've seen one of each. Basically it seems to be the SUVs & wagons and then 911s & ferraris. There are a decent # of older M3/4s (e & f) and here in Switzerland TONS and TONS of Bentleys. Like all over. Bentleys and 911 Turbo Ss seem to be the city commuter car of Zurich. I've never seen more Bentleys in my life. As many of those as Audi / BMW / Mercedes. Lots of Taycans & Teslas too ... OH! Speaking of Tesla ... So I've gone to a bunch of auto boutiques: Porsche, Benz, Cadillac, Genesis, etc and they're all packed, but the Tesla ones are dead dead dead every time I walk by. Like zero people in there. This one is right off the high street in Zurich and it's been crickets in there even with the holidays, advent, and absolute shit tons of people out. HIGH STREET (bahnhofstrasse) JAM PACKED AT 8PM SUNDAY! TESLA BOUTIQUE ALWAYS CRICKETS (I walk past it like 4x / day) |

Question:
Is H80 M3 still all electric? I have people elsewhere arguing with me that there will be an ICE H80 M3 and an all electric iM3.... I thought BMW confirmed all electric only for the H80 M3.

My Macan GTS was 70kish MSRP no options to 87k no options. My 4RS, which was a 23 originally with 143k MSRP jumped to 160k MSRP. The Macan GTS was 89k fairly well optioned is now 108k ffs. On Tesla’s defense, I think their sales in Europe still does well, but people just don’t bother going into the store because of how they sell. Then there is the whole Chinese EV thing. Who knows tbh, I don’t really follow the EV thing.

Thanks. I can see the argument of running both for a cycle - or a hybrid (ICE+Electric) for a cycle alongside the full electric. Especially considering some of the major manufacturers going back and saying they will try to continue ICE for longer.

What’s amazing to me is if the G80 had the same lifecycle as the F80, this would already be the last year (4 year model run for each). Just seems like yesterday the first spy photos of the G8x cars came out.
New model cannot come soon enough, EV or not, but pardon my lack of faith in anything BMW puts out now. |

That’s right, everytime I see one, I walk away feeling unsettled with the design; especially the g80 b/c I want to love it like the f80.

I personally like the styling compared to F87 but hate the interior screen. I believe all next M cars will be hybrid or EV which i have no interest in. My F80 M3 will be 6yrs old in a few days - longest I ever held on to a car all bec G80 is hideous. |

I sold the G80 today...well, agreed to price, they come later this week. Disclosed the repaired/replaced door. Got 85k, which I couldn't believe as others were way lower. Going to put my name on a list for a fairly stripped M2 - much as I hate eating my words on the Mexican BMW and maybe wait and see. Things are turning fast and this could end up being a great maneuver.

NickyC I wouldn't hold your breathe regarding BMW's designs. Until all of their current leaders are out, including the stupid former Audi leader now heading BMW M, don't believe BMW M will change their current path. Just like how Audi RS cars are now all ho hum cars with no uniqueness to them, BMW will end up like that sooner or later with their current CEO and leaders in charge.

I may be too pessimistic but I don’t see any current or future BMW on my list of cars I would want.

Could also shift to M3 base. Not really keen on either. There's nothing out there with the performance of these cars for the money, but these cars aren't that exciting either. If I stick with this, it'd be the lick the wounds and regroup as prices drop. Inventory is building up really fast. There are tons of M2s on lots. Mostly in bad colors. Maybe if I get carried away and can score a huge discount, I'll get sucked into an M4 - they can't give those away from what I hear.
