Never had turn signal issues prior to installing these lights. Abdul or Mark, or hell, anyone here on this forum, does anyone have an idea what the issue might be? Just a faulty set of lights? Anyone else having this happen?
Maybe check connections between of wiring outer to inner tails to make sure all is intact? As someone had said earlier, there could be a concern about wiring being caught in the trunk springs - when opening and closing trunk. I noticed that as well during install, and made sure to bundle up extra slack to be clear and away from the springs- during trunk opening and closing.

Want to order but want to make sure I can do the install.
I did the install on a pre-LCI f83, you do have to run the wire from the outside lights to the inside lights in order for the inside turn signals to function. It's a little involved, but not overly difficult ... as Carrera Dave mentioned, you just follow the existing braided cable on the passenger side up to and across the trunk (make sure to leave slack in the same places the existing wires do). You then follow the exact same route along the driver's side. I did end up having to splice in extra wire as the included wires weren't long enough to make the trip.

I posted this link earlier in the thread, it gives you a good idea of how to get at the wiring and where you need to run it:
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1449047

So my driver side doesn't have any current wiring. Wiring is only on the the passenger side. What do I do? Create a new path on the driver side?[IMG][/IMG]

Yeah, you route it exactly the same way you do on the passenger side, you just don't have the existing wires to follow so you have to replicate the path on your own. Be careful to leave enough slack at the pivot points (use the passenger side as a guide). Use plenty of zip-ties to keep it all secure.

Editing to add that I didn't have to remove any of the plastic tabs on the inside lights in order to get them to fit properly, so definitely try them out as they are before making any modifications.

Are there actually aV1 and a V2 version? What are the differences? Are turn signals quality improved for example?

I just finished installing on a 2018 F83 LCI. The lights needed NO modifications or cutting. I made sure to match the screw setting position
of the OEM outboard light's adjustable mounting points to the new lights. I also used the OEM mounting brackets for the inboard trunk lights. No fitment issues or added spacers and they look great.

Since I was LCI, I removed the resistors and did not need to run the wire from the outboard to inboard lights.

Hope this helps. Picture of the adjustable mounting points.

There is no V2 version of the F82/F30 Vland lights only V1

Vland F80/F30 lights have both a V1 & V2 version

Those do not look like VLand lights

But there is both a red version & Blackline version (as one pictured) of these lights regardless of who made them

That's incorrect. DK Motoring had the first F30 version out (V1 with 5 LED's on the inner tails), and Vland came out with its own F30 version (V2 with 4 LED's on the inner tails) a couple of months later.

I'm talking about vland specifically not all the different mfg out there that ever made f82 lights

For vland there currently is only 1 version so far

Very happy with the lights from Abdul and I would highly recommend.
I ordered on Wednesday 8/11, the lights arrived on Tuesday 8/17. I'm in CA.
I didn't need to use any washers or cut any tabs. Adjusting the knobs did the trick as per 1QuikWS6's previous post on page 10. The inner and outer lights are flush.

I was able to find a 3/8" protective wire wrap from Harbor Freight. It's $2.99 for 14 feet. Looks even better and I no longer have to worry about the wiring snagging on the trunk springs and getting damaged. Pics attached of driver side, but I did the same for passenger side.

Sorry to post my inferior F30 issue on the F80/F82 group site.

I bought the Vland V2 OLED dragon scale tail lights because the brake light carries from the corner fender housing to the inner trunk housing like the stock LCI LED tail lights. I installed them yesterday on my F30 340i without issue. Tested them several times locking/unlocking with the key fob and all the lights worked perfect including the rear fog lights after the install. Today I went to check the tail lights start sequence after unlocking the car and only the turn signals blinked sequentially but the tail lights did not do the rolling dance they did the day before. Tried locking and unlocking the car several times and the turn signals sequentially blinked but not the tail lights themselves. I started the car for a moment and turned it off, locked the doors with the key fob. Unlocked the doors again and the tail lights did their start routine as designed. Any idea why they stopped working initially? Have any of you observed this intermittent behavior with this product?

Yup, completely normal. Same thing happened to me and others. .. Same thing happens on the stock OEM lights.

No, the f83 doesn't require any modification to the lights.

Update:

From the first day I started this thread till now, thanks to all of you guys, I've sold tons of GTS OLED style lights. I spoke to customers for hours. Read and replied to several emails. Listened to suggestions. Finally, for the sake of convenience for the buyer, I decided to make the required changes in the house so once the customer gets these lights, no further adjustments are required. Furthermore, I installed every single light on our test car that one of our local customers brought to our facility and made sure there were no scratches or fitment issues. I took inspecting each and every single light to another level. All this so that the customer doesn't have to worry about anything else but following the simple DIY instructions. Since this was a rigorous and time-consuming task, we only got through 10 sets today. So if you place an order now, you will get a fully inspected, test-fitted set of taillights for your car. Hopefully, we will get through the rest of our current stock in the near future. The best part, the price stays the same. I was thinking of adding an additional cost for this service but I decided against it.

I also recorded a small video with tips/tricks and FAQs that I will post soon. You may find it helpful.

Here is a link to purchase a set of lights.

Venturing back into this thread as the primary location for these VLAND lights.

I had my LCI coded for rear fogs. Worked as designed from the factory. Once I installed these VLAND, the rear fogs activate the amber turn signals. Is this the correct implementation for these VLAND lights? Seem to recall someone else messed around with different coding and got them to activate an other portion of the lights (as shown in some pictures)?

Appreciate the feedback, specifically any coding instructions used.
