The 4runner TRD off road looks mighty nice, almost decided to get one of those instead of the Tacoma pro. But once I saw the truck in-person, I fell in love with it. The test drive just added to me wanting the Tacoma even more. Same day I ran into 2 4runner TRD PROs in cement color for the first time as I had not seen one in the flesh before that. Let's just say that if I would have found one of those at the dealership, it would be in my drive way now!

I am looking at going a different direction, I will be looking for a 1970 or 1971 Plymouth Cuda big block (383 or 440). I had a 1970 Cuda back in the early 80's with a 440 cubic inch with the 6-pack (3 two barrel carburetors). I sold the car after I entered the Marine Corps in 1984. I have always missed that vehicle and the prices continue to rise on E-body Cuda's (1970 -1974). The Cuda will be a weekend vehicle only as I have several other vehicles to drive.
I have owned my F80 since July of 2014 and only have 16k miles on the odometer. The F80 is a weekend car and over the past year I find myself jumping into my Tacoma double cab off-road 4X4 more and more and the F80 stays parked in the garage. I also have a 2016 BMW R1200RT and 2015 KTM 690 Enduro R that I also enjoy riding. I have a top case on the back of the R1200RT and it allows for storage of several bags of groceries. Earlier this year I almost made the transition into a 2017 911 S and also looked at the C7 Z06. Both are different vehicles but at the end of the day I stayed with the F80. Porsche or Audi is next for me...a 911 or an RS3, depending on how much I feel like spending.
RS3's are a hoot, with an exhaust and a tune creating a glorious road car. A 911 is just magic, a perfect GT car for me...with my occasional track days, and lots of long road trips. And with that mini-back seat, it gives me more space to bring more stuff on road trips. |

I have 2 years left on my leasing of M4.
In 2020, thinking of new generation of Porsche 911 GT3 or might stick with new generation M4. Time will tell

I am hankering for the theatre of a turbo V8. Especially before they are consigned to the history books. Looking at getting a low km AMG gt s when 15 M4 is a few years older. Would have jumped at a twin turbo V8 M4. Not to be.

Sitting in a BMW dealership right now and getting into a 2018 m3, 7-series, 5-series, x5, m4, m6, etc.
In here, the m3 is the only vehicle that feels just right. BMW just nailed it with the f80. I just thinking it's time to move on, but damn if I'm not motivated to just detail my baby to perfection and keep it awhile longer. |

I?m also thinking of going from M4 to a gt350 or gt350r. I have the urge to experience a NA V8 before they are extinct. |

Looking at the CTS-V. Lightly used 2017s are very tempting in the low 70s. Does anybody here have any experience with these cars? The driving experience is amazing and at least in my short test drive, the interiors are pretty decent. My only concern is long term quality. How do they hold up after 3-4 years?

That being said, the mechanicals of that car failed under warranty. Engine, transmission - hell the wheels weren't strong enough to support the weight of the vehicle on skinny tires and all bent to shit. Everything covered under warranty, but still. I think he got a first year ATS lemon, quite frankly.

Hehehe, considering it's being benchmarked against an m5, that's pretty consistent with the f10 m5

Most likely a 911 or Macan Turbo.
Unless the next M3 is available before 2021 and we know what it's packing. I can't do a non M BMW...I guess the new M5 is an option but it's larger than what I'm used to. |

Its a 100k car going for 70c on the $ with less than 5000 miles on the clock. I'd say the biggest chunk of depreciation is already behind it. Its not like the E63 or M5 (or even the M3) fare any better.

I still will be heading backwards with my next car, but I won't be selling the F80 so I'm probably an anomaly. Cars are getting too digital and the number of cars I will want will shrink every year from here on out. I prefer to burn stuff with my cars, and I'm not talking about THAT! No EV's for this guy. There is still nothing with 4 door's I'd rather have, and 2 door cars are so tough right now with everything from E90 M3's to totally splurging on a 911. RS3 is intriguing, but picturing myself trading in my F80 for it stops before I get too far into that thought. It just would never happen. |

I have a yr left on my F80 lease. Looking primarily at a 4 door since it will be my DD and have been debating on what 4 door to get. I have a 996 TT so panamera is probably out. Plus for whatever reason, it seems that Porsche's (no matter how old) always get looks and comments which I prefer to avoid. That was/is the beauty of the F80. Great as a DD and awed by true enthusiasts.
Since I usually lease through my business, I have been considering E63s or maybe AR QF (dont hate me)..Both dont really have attractive lease rates compared to BMW. Suggestions?? |
