oh wow! Yeah, this is my 2nd visit for the creaking door seals. It sorta quieted down on the first visit and gradually came back a few days later.

Gentleman (if that was indeed the technician) was driving reasonably slow. But should these guys test on the highway? Mine creaks on driveways/inclines or bumpy roads... |

It's a little hard to capture the teflon since its clear that goes over the shadowline trim. It guess you can say it gives the inside a more of a matt look. I snapped a few shots of it and a short video. Sorry if it's not that clear. BMW M3 Teflon tape fix by jphilipose94, on Flickr BMW M3 Teflon tape fix BMW M3 Teflon tape fix Untitled |

Just picked my car up this afternoon and so far no creaking sound from the doors. Took marsh creek road (bumpy back roads) on the way home for some spirited drive and it was quiet.
They did add some lube gel on top of the Teflon tape so that may have done the trick. They had to keep it overnight for it to dry up. Not sure how often it needs to be reapplied though but keeping fingers crossed. Definitely identical to the one as jbeemer13 has. jonjamison that CS doesn’t seem to have the windows tinted and also have a license plate frame. Definitely not my car but good to know there’s another one local. I did find out though that concord bmw put 10 miles on my CS and forgot to reset my 1200 mile service

BMW Concord removed my creaking sound as well. It was driving me up the wall. Once they applied the tape I never heard the creaking sound again. It's been about a year now.

Saw a Silverstone m4 getting on 880s in Fremont off Automall around 10pm. I was in the white m3. You were behind my buddy in his black e92 m3. You threw up a ✌️sign.

I just bought a used 2016 M3 in Sacramento/Folsom area.
One of my only issues with the car before I bought it was the raddles and noises you all are talking about from the doors and pillars. It drove me crazy even on the initial test drive. I had them service the car as part of the buy and the SA said the techs new exactly what the issue was when they saw ticket. I believe they greased the seals? So far it has been great. No noise even under heavy driving. I found it interesting this was the current topic in this specific cali thread. Having just bought my car last week |

I couldn't find at Amazon, so I bought from Grainger. Took about an hour to install being extra OCD. Been almost a year and still silent.
