Does anyone have any DIY instructions for installing this component?

It's very simple and snaps off
Use a credit card you don't like and pry on the lower right hand corner
It pops up then work the rest of the tabs
Don't forget to move over the button for shift speed

I did it with an old debit card as well, came off pretty easy. The little wires in there were a bit of a pain in the ass but the whole ordeal was 5 minutes at most.

fyi you start with surround and you will end up doing shifter
