Anyone here pick up the GTS in Fresno?

I daydreamed about picking this up when my M4 lease was up. Stopped by Friday and it was gone! Only 500 miles.

Thanks! It's getting wrapped in PPF over the next two weeks, and then I'm installing camber plates. It still has the original Sport Cup 2s on it, will need to burn those down at High Plains Raceway next

I picked the car up on July 6th, loading it into the trailer was an ordeal. Had to borrow some wood from the construction site behind the dealership. When I get back from vacation I plan on measuring the car in the track configuration for some new ramps.

Plan on making a thread to track what I am doing with the car, it'll probably be fun to see how things evolve.

Congrats! Enjoy it.

I was wondering how to get it into a trailer. As usual 2x6 never fails. LOL

Yeah.. it took forever for me to creep the car up the ramps and then realize it wasn't going to clear the trailer door flap. Hopefully that won't be an issue moving forward.

$82k before tax/title. Made the argument between a M2C + M-Performance goodies vs M4 GTS very simple.

Depreciation is harsh for original owners, but hot damn is this a lot of car for a 2nd owner

I am an original owner and paid MSRP on a car with Carbon Fiber Wheels. I own many sports cars including Z06, F12 and GT2RS. I won't debate which is better, because they are different and also priced different. I will say that I believe these cars are priced well below where they should be and anyone on the fence should snap it up. These cars are special. They feel special and the handle special as I have indicated in previous posts. I think the magazines did the reputation of these cars a disservice. First, they compared the base price of an M4 against the GTS. Not appropriate because almost no one has a base car and if you added the options available from the GTS to a base M4 the price would be higher. Second, my experience with the handling, etc, is that this car is much sharper in the handling than any other BMW and I have owned over 30 BMWs and almost every M. Anyway, congratulations on your purchase. Drive in health and post some track pictures.

I agree, I've spent hours and hours reading discussions across the web, and it sounds like there was a combination of a lack of education on BMWs part, and a lack of interest on the journalist's part around configuring the car. Having spent time tuning the shocks and sways on a car for the track, I can get why journalists didn't extract the full capability out of the GTS. We'll see how my opinion changes on this when I start lapping it in September.

I would say the M4 GTS is a steal in the $80k range. Starting the car in an underground parking garage is a riot. Banging gears in the canyons is cackle inducing. 3rd<->5th gear is a beautiful place. The car feels so composed, and it really feels comfortable here. I look forward to turns 1 and 4 at my local track, pretty certain the CCBs are going to be magically confidence inspiring. Will definitely be picking up a set of M2C rotors, aftermarket pads an ducts though, I have zero interest in replacing the CCBs every year. Really hoping the camber plates help with tire wear, my last proper race car was a NA Miata, suspect the GTS will be a bit more hungry in regards to tires
