Service Advisor Issues?
Man! I contacted 3 different service advisors with 3 different bmw dealerships regarding some issues I’m having and none of them have contacted me back. I tried calling and emailing. Do service advisors only contact potential clients back when they believe their issue is valid? My f80 is making all sorts of weird noises and I just want to get it checked out. Grr
I guess I’ll try more local dealerships. |

I had this same issue with SA's. I don't bother calling anymore for this exact reason. But as soon as I pull into the service line, then they come out to say hi like we're old friends. I'm thinking to myself, where the hell were you when I needed help!?! Voicemails/emails, ghosting me. Just go in-person and talk with them.

I just show at the service bay, talk nicely to an advisor, if I'm not happy I will leave.

Not sure what you may be expecting, but the only thing they will probably say if you can get ahold of a service advisor by phone or email is to bring it in. You don’t need to speak with a service advisor to make an appointment.

This seems like its warranty work, so I’ll need a SA. The only reason I’d like to talk to them on the phone is to see if they have loaners available. Most of the times that I go without notice they don’t. Booo

You can’t specify you need a loaner when making the service appointment online?

Call the service department and request an appointment with loaner car. There is no need to talk to a SA. Someone in reception can do this.

I've only taken my car to Concord bmw and Joey is good! I will say, though, they take a long time to address some small issues and aren't great about informing you on when the car will be ready. but Joey is easily reachable through text. never had a problem with them

The service advisor's job is to deal with customers that are at the dealership. Most SAs that I know don't have the time to call back random people asking random questions. If you have a warranty issue with your BMW, call the service department, make an appointment, and then take it to the BMW dealer. When you make the service appointment, either by calling the service appointment or online, request a loaner.
My wife and I have a great relationship with the service department of our selected dealer. It's not the closest, and we've never even bought a car from that dealership, but we get issues addressed and escalated, and they push for us when things are borderline. If you own a BMW under warranty, having a good relationship with your SA is priceless. Bring donuts/bagels/cookies occasionally, they won't forget you!

I make my appointments online and request a loaner depending on the work being completed. Since I've been going to my dealer I've been assigned a master tech for my M3. So whenever I bring my car to the dealership the master tech comes out and looks at the vehicle and the issue. We will go for a ride together to ensure we're on the same page. Once the repair is made he asks me to take the vehicle for a ride to ensure I'm satisfied with repair before closing out the ticket. The SA is just there to sort out the paperwork and approvals if needed through BMW. I have the same Mater Tech assigned to my vehicle for all work. We're on a first name basis! Luckily they sell a lot of M cars so the 4 Master Techs at the shop have good deal of experience with these cars.
