KRAS55Bi + HC.Performance: 736whp on E40 at 28-29psi
Following up on the results of this weekends GTBoard race, Halim at HC.Performance took his M3 to the dyno. The car is running a HC.Performance custom map with 28-29psi on E40 fuel with WMI. This is on the stock engine with stock clutches and the stock fuel system.
Mod list:
The results were 736whp! An achievement considering the stock fuel system and relatively low boost. It is important to note how the powerband continues to climb until the run cutoff with no drop off. This is a characteristic that has continually been specific to the KRAS55 line of turbos. While 736whp is a respectable power output, the KRAS55Bi's are capable of continuing to produce a linear powerband without any dropoff well into the 1,050whp+ range. The car would be capable of producing more power with this fuel and boost, however the stock fuel system is not able to flow enough to complete the run to the 7,500 RPM redline. The relatively low boost required is a testament to the efficiency of the KRAS55Bi rotor group. This decreased boost creates less stress on the factory connecting rods and prolongs their life at this power level. In addition, the patent pending low backpressure manifolds that are used on the KRAS55Bi further aid in ensuring reliable operation at this power level and well beyond. There is much more safe and reliable power to be made out of this setup. Reliability is a point we strive to drive home. Whether it be the reliability of the engine itself when used in conjunction with the turbos or the reliability of the turbos themselves, we strongly encourage everyone considering purchase of a turbo upgrade for their S55 to look into the reliability track record of their options. Stay tuned for more results. Last edited by Sales@KRATOS; 09-13-2019 at 08:20 AM.. |
