Extra Year of CPO?

Hi everyone -

So I pick up my M4 next week with a total Warranty of Manu+CPO until 4/2021. My sales rep informed me today that they have a deal going on this month that an additional year of CPO can be purchased at half price, $3100.

Is it worth it?

It's probably a one year warranty the dealer is offering, as I've never heard of BMW offering an additional year of CPO coverage. $3100 sounds like a lot for only one year.

$3100 is an absolute rip off for one year, good grief. NO

They say that's half price too, LOL.

The platform is way too reliable for such an expense. You would be hard pressed to break even even with a spun crank hub unless it killed the motor.

BMW has been offering extended CPO coverage for like 2 decades..

OP, that is correct, that is about half price. That would take your warranty out to April/22 but also retains the unlimited mileage. That is the main reason it is so expensive. You can drive 1 million miles before that date and still be covered. You can probably shop and find a warranty for less money that factors in mileage.

That's news to me, lol. You got a link or anything? I can only find info on the standard one year CPO coverage and extended warranties. Nothing on extending the CPO coverage.

If you pull the DCS on any CPO car for sale, there will be pricing quotes for 1 and 2 year extensions. The finance office can extend it beyond that. I have been working at a BMW dealer for years.

Ahh is this the CPO "wrap"? I'm genuinely curious, I'm on my second CPO and neither dealer even mentioned it!

Correct, it’s not a 3rd party. CPO wrap can extend 1 or 2 years and keep the unlimited miles aspect.
