Going from JB1 to BM3, what to expect?

Hey all, I've been running the piggyback for almost a year, no issues whatsoever. I want to upgrade to BM3, one of the big things is being able to set boost by gear and disable the cold start sequence which I hate.

What should I expect in terms of driveability? Will I notice the extra (if any) power? Is the torque curve any different?

TIA

Night and day difference depending on which tune you run. Also the adjustability is a fun option. You’re basically going from a set it and forget it model to a fully customizable route. The power will be more apparent and less spiky than the jb1. Youll definitely notice

Only thing with the cold start delete was that I had idle issues when I had it.

Ok did the CS tune and wow what a difference. Really woke the car up! Since I had it so long as a daily I really knew the ins and outs of the car. I am so glad I made the change, plus the sound is awesome.

What made you go with the CS tune over stage 1?

I just bought BM3, just waiting on my license.

If you liked the CS tune, wait until you try stage 1. Talk about waking the car up! It's an animal.

I ended up flashing the car yesterday. Power wise I can't feel too much difference, it might pull a bit better top end?

Either way, the ability to disable cold start and rev matching in efficient and sport is a big plus. I'll play around with boost reduction in 1st later on, with the new PS4s it seems to hold traction in second now that it's summertime.

I mean it is smooth but I can't feel THAT much difference over BM1. That piggyback worked pretty good for me.

The Stage1 and JB4 are pretty solid performers so not surprising but if not concerned with warranty once flashed you can do the exhaust burble at least which is a lot of fun.

Kilabyte I would offer to do some pulls since I just installed BMS Stage 1 and BMC filters, but it won't be as useful as I have a convertible. I was considering letting Turner tune my car. I guess they have more options than they advertise. I'm in no hurry to change the BMS since you're not feeling a ton of difference since switching to a tune.
