As one of the biggest proponents of the M4, it pains me to say this, but I'm starting to understand the, "the front bumper is too busy," comments. :\

What I dislike are the headlights the way they are merged into the kidney grills and the atrocious hood line. All else, and specs, are dope. Fix those 2 things and I'm on board. In the meantime, back to the 328 and then lurking for a preowned M3!

OMG man. Certain colors show proportions/lines better. Certain colors 'wash out' those same proportions/lines. Why this needs to be explained to you is beyond me. People have always discussed how colors like silver and white tend to 'hide' lines while blacks and blues tend to show lines better. Line up the same car in 10 different colors, and you'll find that certain colors will define lines better than others. It isn't rocket science.

One thing that draws me to BMW's are their lack of over done aesthetics - clean elegant lines that aren't over done.

This new bumper looks - well...after market rice!

Those air scoops are going to catch more than air imho.

The openings look like mouths and I keep expecting it to talk. It wouldn't keep me from getting it though. I think the darker colors will work best.

I really like that part of the F32 and how low and relative small it looks next to the F30 but overall I think the E92 is a much tighter, cleaner and nicer design. When I first saw the E92 I thought it was the best looking dreier of all time, honestly. Can't say the same about the F32 and the F82. It will likely grow on me like some cars tend to do. The M3 looks good out of the gate though.

Btw I also think the E60 & Panamera looks good so I might not have a very generic taste.

I don't share your opinion of the Panamera, but I've always liked the E60.....especially in ///M guise.

Very disappointed with these pics and the sound of the engine. I absolutely love the styling of the e92 M3 (a little bias bc I own one). I was almost sold on the design of this M4 until I saw it in silver. I agree with others, too messy in the front and the sides and back look boring/big. The line across the front of the hood needs to go, the chrome grills, and that overdone front bumper. Whether they kept the badge M3 or M4, it doesn't matter to me, but something has to be done with the exterior. By the way, those pics posted of the silver E92 M3 look stunning.

I think its just the angle at which the pictures were taken…. Does not compliment the lines of the car AT ALL

Calm down Sherlock.
You're talking a lot about lines but nothing about proportion, which is exactly my point: colors don't change proportions. I don't need you to tell me that color variations change the visibility, contrast, sharpness, and appearance of lines, because they do. But not proportions.

Repeat after me: "Lines & proportions are not the same. Lines & proportions are not the same. Lines & proportions..."

Good day

Good day
I didn't say 'change' ONCE during any of my posts. I said 'show'....articulate......define......highlight.....and any other synonym that you can think of. We are going in circles however. Let's let it go Watson!

Sincerely,

Sherlock

Not very aggressive ... I hope the final product is much better ... If it ends up to be like this one then there is no justification for the extra $$ over the 435 M Sport

I think the car looks great. Nice to see that they aren't unrealistically retouched like the "official" pics. No car looks like those shots in person.

Agreed. It's like a fat butter face chick. From a far 2 things are sorta obvious- she's fat and she might look good. Up close, it's way overdone for something that produces much less in terms gratification. M4 has the same feel.

It's very similar in overall shape to the E92
The front bumper has the same hideous mis match of curves and lines that don't quite meet up
Front bumper of E92 is so much sleeker.
One looks smooth, and coherent
One looks like a parts bin special
I'm so not regretting not ordering this
Shame really
I'm sure it's a great car
But to pay that premium for a redone n55 just doesn't make sense to me
The argument for the m3/4 over the 335/435 is getting weaker and weaker

I actually thought silverstone ii was the E92/E93 best color especially with CF roof. This just looks miserable...
