Would replacing the OE resonator with one of the above MF units result in a meaningful change in sound? |

You really have the freedom to add the X anywhere you like, but the most common choice is putting it in place of your factory resonator/H pipe section.

Got ya. So is it safe to assume that the common choice noted above results in an increase in sound? I.e. your x-pipe resonator muffles less sound than the OE h-pipe resonator.

That is correct! Our resonated Xs will typically have a deeper tone, and a little more volume (depends on size used) than the OE resonator.

Well I haven't actually done it yet. I just ordered the x pipe today. 10791 is the one I ordered l. I am still deciding what size piping I should go for the small "straight pipe" segment that will be replacing the old sec cats. If it is possible I may try 3 inch piping. I wanted to be a little louder than your 2.5 inch set up.

Messing around with it any more then what I did would just make it loud to the point tht it sounds bad. Not agressive. Also what makes the sound even better is getting a tune. I have gotten a jb4 after this exhaust mod and it even sounds nicer and louder and Much more agressive pops. The videos attached were before the tune. |

It's much louder then stock with valves plugged in. It's alittle louder then with the valves unplugged. Maybe that wasn't the right way to word it. But it's the perfect amount of loud with out being crazy. I keep the valves unplugged with this setup
