Has anyone had luck getting these repaired under warranty? I was denied, and BMW NA said that I couldn't prove without doubt that it wasn't a chemical, track, or just heavy braking in general which caused the fade. Seems like this isn't an isolated incident. I'm replacing the brakes anyway, so not really concerned with a warranty fix, but am curious as to what is causing the fade, or if it's all similar build times? Mine in July 16 I believe.

Either in this thread or a related thread someone said they got them replaced because of the fading at the dealer.
I didn't have any luck when I asked my dealer. Ultimately it's as cosmetic an issue as there could be, and being able to replace them with strong vinyl stickers that are only a few $ out of pocket, I'm fine with that. |
