Should I remove Brake Quiet before putting OEM pads back on?

Hey guys! Quick question, might be a stupid one but please forgive my ignorance...

Do I remove any remaining Brake Quiet residue before putting my OEM pads back on?

Some people said its fine to just leave it there, but wondering if I should do the following...

1. Leave Brake Quiet residue alone and add some more pad lubricant?

OR

2. Scrape off Brake Quiet the best I can, add pad lubricant and install?

A good practice is to remove any old brake quiet or paste and apply a new coat. Have you considered a hight temp brake paste that will just wipe away?

I have Permatex Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant.

Thanks for the clarification, I will scrape off the Brake Quiet and do a fresh layer of Permatex.

A little bit of that lubricant on the two edges that contact the caliper will help with reducing pad knock noise. Don't forget some lubricant on the pins too, mostly where the pins make contact with the pads.
