BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I saw this color last week under the show lights at Detroit, but wondered what it would look like in direct sunlight. Yesterday I found out. A YMB M3 was hiding behind the BMW display trailer at Daytona! This color is so much more intense in the sunlight and really pops. I'm going to go with something a little more subtle, but YMB is going to get a lot of attention! I've heard of "arrest me red". This is "throw away the key" blue!

The car is missing the fender gill trim. I'm told its on the way so they can put it on display.

Missing the trunk badge too. Looks great without it.

Looks good in the sun, however I think when paired with all Black rims and CF roof it def makes the color pop a lot more

Wow, that looks fantastic.

I saw the cars at NAIAS last night, and came away really impressed with Yas Marina Blue. I just loved the color in person. It actually stole all my attention and I never gave the AY or Black M4s a second look really. Also, one of the show attendants was nice enough to open the car and let me sit in it, and I was very impressed with the new seats too.

Are the wheels in the above picture actually all black? They sure look that way. The pictures I've seen of the production black-chrome-on-black ones always appear to me to have silver faces when in bright light. It's a look I can't warm up to.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I really wish those were a factory option.

YMB is going to be a great color with extreme track set ups. Just like the signal green ind projects and Dakar yellow.

But it will look horrible in stock form. I am certain of that. Looks decent here with the black wheels.

That looks great with all black 19 inch wheel.
Maybe BMW USA will surprise us with 3rd wheel option (all black 19 inch)!

Love the color, tech specs and rear but the frontal labotomy-looking hood line is inexcusable!!!

Yeah I agree but I'm over it, we all have to get over it and deal with the fact that it's what we have to live with. Get a black or grey car and it won't be such an issue. I also don't like the "last minute add on LCD screen" but BMW never asked me my opinion. I'm sure none of this will matter as I'm driving in the canyons or along the coast with a giant smile on my face.

Oh lord. How does the styling of the rear compare to the M4 in your opinion?

IMHO: They both need a more CSL style trunk.

Start workin' on makin' one please!

M3 Sedan at Daytona 24 Hours

This past weekend I was walking around the BMW both hoping to see the new M3, no dice. Then about halfway through the race they had this parked behind their car transporter. Debadged and looking fantastic.
