S55 Valve Cover Manufacturer

As per the title, has anyone figured out who actually manufactures the valve cover and if so, is it possible to buy directly from them rather than giving BMW a hefty wad of cash for something they decided should have the PCV valve integrated into it?

I’m needing to replace mine this week. I was watching an OEM DIY video on YouTube and they said the manufacturer is Mahle (said it right on the side of the VC)

Not seeing any option online of buying direct from Mahle.

I have emailed them to see if it's possible. I'll report back.

I would just order one from FCP Euro since they offer a lifetime replacement on all parts they sell.

Does anyone know the difference between N55 and S55 valve cover? I know that the spare part number is different, but what could be the exact difference between these?
Aftermarket valve covers are much easier to find for the N55 engine.
Some say that NTY might be the manufacturer.

I would love to but I'm in Ireland so it wouldn't make sense given the cost of the cover, shipping and then import duty on top of it. It's actually cheaper to buy it from BMW here than the purchase price on FCP Euro.

The main difference is that the S55 valve cover has the vacuum chamber removed as far as I know.

NTY and a number of other companies do sell it and possibly manufacture their own one but it seems that Mahle is the official manufacturer and supplier to BMW.
