Does anyone know if we are able to code out IBS so that an aftermarket battery can be installed?

I got a new M4 so I have to replace all the coding I had set up on my last one. I use BimmerCode. Can someone please remind me how to:

- Set Desired (max) move back distance (Use Pg 3 as Guide) when ignition off & door opens
- Set Moving Restriction (ie stop b/w 0 & up to Factory 100 mm from Track End + 25 mm)
‐ Door Handle LED Lights while in Reverse

Also, is there a way to code the default values for driving (throttle, suspension, transmission, etc), i.e. mine right now is eco/sport/sport?

And has anyone figured out how to enable Apple Carplay without paying the $300?

Thanks!

Door Handle LED: On F3x Sheet in Fem_body

No. But, you can program M1, M2 buttons

Yes, it can be done through third parties, but not for free.

I got the seat to automatically move back, but I couldn't find the place to set the values. I assume they are under Seat module, then 3012 EAH. But when I went there the 3012 EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS werte = 00, 3C (60mm)
3012 EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS werte = 00, 0F (15mm) choice weren't there?

Never used Bimmercode. But, if your car has new firmware, then app may need an update to support. Functions move around; on my car, they are in 3015.

I seem to have disabled the feature where the car locks itself after a few minutes of no activity. Anyone know where that parameter is set?

CLM_TIME_PIA_LOCK_AT_TIMEOUT is time period. Not sure if there is another FDL.

Went all out and did some coding this past weekend:

Confirmed following work:

-Disable welcome 3 gong
-Seatbelt reminder lights off
-Turn off seat belt reminder chimes
-Close windows & sunroof from key fob & comfort access
-Fold side mirrors from key fob & comfort access
-Mirror unfold auto from 25mph to 14mph
-Unlock door on engine off (1 pull)
-Turn off front window door interrupt
-Ambient lightening controlled independent from dimmer switch
-Illumination of exterior door handle led when in reverse
-Enable video files from usb
-DVD in motion activated
-Disable speed lock for owners manual & Bluetooth pairing
-Remove legal disclaimer
-Display tire pressure & temperature in vehicle info
-Disable left & right led Amber side marker

Not confirmed:

-Recode for dazzle headlights (I think it works but need further testing)
-Increase angle eye brightness to 100%
-Euro LED headlight coding (what features does this change? my side amber lights are now disabled)
-Brake force flashing with hard braking
-Disable office function speed lock out (not sure what this is)
-Full text length in office while driving (i don't get texts today)
-Enable rear view camera at all speeds (stays on longer)
-Turn off front window roll up door interrupt

Brightness is possible.
Euro LED is same as NGHB. You have choice of whether you disable amber or not separately.
BFD works
You need to make sure both car is coded correctly as well as IDrive/Phone configured right before you test in motion.
Disabling window safety works.

Thanks! Can you please elaborate on what NGHB stands for? Also, I coded for HBA (auto high beam) but that didn't work.
I'll test the Bluetooth connection for text again.

No-glare High beams. It is dynamic beams that operate independently to direct light beam patterns without glaring other drivers. Comparatively, US vehicles are set to 2-stage (on/off).

Auto-HBA only works on vehicles with FRM (eg, F010 or F025). So, not sure what you coded.

Okay, so on further testing, the dazzle headlights do work and it's amazing. I can see left light turn on/off and move left/righ/up/down based on incoming traffic. I can also see high beams ON when there is a car in front of me and the lights either split or move down and out. The Auto High Beam Assist doesn't turn on so I have to hit the button on the turn signal switch which is fine.

Does anyone know how to code these lights to act as blinkers as well?

Hey crew, asking for some assistance here. A few minutes back I tried to VO code the De-dazzle LED (removed 5AP & 8S4) and enhanced Bluetooth (change 6NH to 6NS) on my new F80 M3 2018 (prod date 8/2018).

I calculated FP with no errors. Read the ECU and when I write FP to master with no error. However, when I tried to code the entire ECU per the video (
) and instructions, I ran into a few errors during the writing to the ECU.

Now it seems the like climate control can't be shut off and see an error stating "Fuel System: Continue Driving possible. Consult service center."

What can be the cause of the error? I'm using PSZdata Lite v4.13.31 and e-sys pro v2.0. Thanks!

I calculated FP with no errors. Read the ECU and when I write FP to master with no error. However, when I tried to code the entire ECU per the video ... and instructions, I ran into a few errors during the writing to the ECU.

You cannot code entire SVT (all ECU) with motor running. When it reaches DME, the motor stalls out and DME ECU CAFD becomes corrupt or missing:

I didn't have the motor "running" but car was on with radio on (pressed the on switch once, engine not running) because I was afraid it would shut down and kill the connection.

So doing this should fix it?:
So to fix it, with the Motor OFF, perform the following:

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on DME => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on DME (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

How will I be able to keep the connection alive long enough to code things?

Coding first failed at DME. This normally only happens if Motor is running.

Fix was given in Post I referenced, which you copy and pasted above.

You keep connection alive by running the motor and coding individual ECU's (except DME), and not entire SVT (all ECU) as you did.

I guess it can happen when the car being on but engine not running (i'm sitting in a garage so can't run the engine).

I tried the above steps, found the latest I-version but was greeted with this:

Make sure FA is factory original and bypass E-Sys Launcher and use E-Sys directly.

I accidentally overwrote the original FA. Would adding back the 5AP & 8S4 and 6NH be sufficient to say it's the original FA? All it looks like is a simple XML file.

When I set back to original configuration, I assume I would need to go through the normal VCM / CODING steps such as Write to FA FP and then code DCM and the other ECUs individually?
