Ah thanks I'm running -2.8 too. I recently switched from super sports to 4s so I'll take it easy on the track and hope i don't destroy them.

Keep the pressures down. Chunking happened above 36 psi hot. I never took tire temps with 4S so that number can range a little bit but given both of our cars probably have similar weight and I abused those tires with early throttle and threshold braking I think 36 and under hot should be ok. They drove best at 31 but cold pressures were too low for comfort on those tires to get that.

Thanks for the tip! I was initially going to run higher pressures to firm up the sidewall as I was afraid of destroying the outer edges again. But it sounds like that wasn't an issue with -2.8 camber. I previously destroyed my super sports' outer edges before I installed camber plates.

I'm actually going to run 4S again in about two weeks on track to get a different perspective with the R8.

You'll run faster lap times with the PSS but the PS4S is the better street tire.
That's contrary to all the reviews I've seen/read thus far.

As an example, in Motor Trend's long term M2 review, Randy Pobst was able to shave ~1sec/min lap when switching from PSS to PS4S. That's quite significant.

Looking forward to the feedback from your second take on them.

Ps4s feels a lot mushy and less sporty but grips way better than pss. Had ps4s for 1 year now and the steering feel is a downer. On the plus side, the car grip in both dry and wet roads is a lot better. Thinking of going to Bridgestone potentate sport next. Will most likely trade tread wear and a little grip. However, I like to enjoy my driving

The "Potentates" (RE-71R's) are now discontinued - (Perfect) Track Tire, though.
