Hey Tom,
Sometimes non-OEM J pipes come with big t-bolt clamps that are thicker in width than the seating surface on the J or on the cooler (ER J + Wagner AWIC as an example). Is it better to reuse the factory Norma clamps in the case where in-the-box parts looked strange, or just use what's provided? I read the OEM Normas are very good quality.

Need to be careful not to overtighten clamps and strip them.

T-bolts are overkill in most street setups and can even crush piping if not careful. The Normas are perfectly fine.

F87 s55 also popped the J Pipe connection under BM3 stage1 boost. Slipped back in and hope it doesn’t occur again.

Factory J pipe does not have the issue that the intake charge pipes have. You don’t need to worry and rush to replace it.

These aftermarket j pipes pop off when you don’t tighten them in the correct spot or tighten them enough, mainly. My aftermarket one popped off as well but I tightened it back up after I resettled my charge cooler. I think there was a lot of tension on it and it wasn’t seated correctly and the clamp didn’t tighten around the neck fully.

Might as well get it, lots of low-priced J-pipes on the market.

I’ve completed a turbo upgrade this week. I’ve upgraded to eventuri charge pipes at the same time. During my last Trackday I started to hear a boost leak … turns out the stock charge pipes one had split. I was a little skeptical myself because there’s not a huge amount of eveidence of split ones online.

Congrats on the upgrade. Do you have pictures of the new Eventuri charge pipes?
