I'm doing 295 on OEM suspension with a 22mm spacer. Test fit with a Hoosier r7 which Im' told is obnoxiously wide so figure should be good to go. There is liner rub at full lock but otherwise looking good. We shall see.

I was planning to go with the NT01s but I see Phil has the 285/30/18 RRs back in stock. Hopefully that’s accurate, I’ll confirm Monday.
Advice on a 285/30 RR vs 275/35 RR on a 18x10 wheel? I understand the wheel will accommodate both sizes. My vanity does not love the look of the 285/30 on stock suspension but if that’s the better setup I can deal. Price is negligible between the Toyos, but I can get the 275/35 NT01s for less. |

Square all the way!! I ask because 10” is on the lower end of reccomended wheel width, but ppl say the RR runs narrow. Ideally I’d run them on a 10.5 which was the plan over the off season, but it was one of many things I didn’t get to. |

I'd go 285.... I'm not sure what you were previously running in the rear, but my other advice would be that if your move to square involves a reduction in the rear tire width compared to what you ran previously, be careful at first. I attribute my crash at WGI, in part, to not having a sufficient feel for how the grip balance changed (towards oversteer) with a relative downsize in the rear. I had previously been using a 305 NT-01 (or 315 CR-S), and going to the 295 AR-1 square (which runs narrow) was more of a change than I anticipated. That was my first time running that setup, which was probably foolish to do at a track like WGI.

I’ve been running a square 275/40/18 supercar 3s setup. Stock suspension, camber plates. A 285/295 RR would be an improvement in width and compound. |

You might be surprised that there isn’t as much of a difference as you expect. I was running 265/285 super car 3’s, and switched to a 275/305 nt01 and was surprised that my lap times were similar. Wasn’t a night and day difference like I was expecting.

I was running a high 1:32 on the super car 3’s, and then ran a 1:31 flat with the nitto nt01’s. Not a huge change. Hoping more experience will yield better results. But my big takeaway was that there was no large improvement in grip.
