Center Lock. It affects all 992 as well. Porsche recommendation is Stop Driving :confused. No loaner nor compensation. Lawsuit coming shortly.

Yeah, as mzcp said, it was center lock failing on certain 2024 GT3RS, GT4RS, cars. I think I missed it by a few production because I didn't take delivery until February of this year but my production started a month or two before the affected cars. I thought I would still be caught in it since my gal is literally in that time frame the recall notice said but nope, was told I am in the clear.

I read in the 992 Turbo forum. They won't get the parts until February 2025. Some are not getting a loaner. That's not gonna fly with most of them.

Honestly anybody with these GT cars probably have other cool cars they can drive and if they got a loaner it would be a base Macan or Cayenne anyway. My 992 has been in the shop for 2.5 mos and my loaner has been a base Macan. Kinda sucks but I drive my other cars and the Macan just sits in the garage. This is probably what those owners would do if they got a loaner b/c dealers generally don’t have even a base 911 let alone a GT3 as loaners and certainly not enough of them to give to all the people having this recall.

I would wager that nobody receives a GT loaner and there are very few 911 loaners (…I’ve never seen one). Basically the only options are the Macan, Cayenne or occasionally a Panamera.

Buddy of mine got 2 separate Taycans (more or less brand new too) as his sat in the dealership with battery and charging issues. He put about 4k miles on each of them, I can only imagine the cost of the depreciation he caused haha.

You should see the debacle going on over on RL because of this. There are so many people slamming feet and crying over this whole thing.

I've found it entertaining and never realized how childish some people could get. I mean someone in the thread claimed they had other cars to drive but they wouldn't and wanted Porsche to fork over a loaner. I mean give me a fucking break. Lol

It’s absolutely ridiculous. A bunch of babies crying over their first-world issue, as if nobody else has ever dealt with a significant recall; this one is affecting approximately 1,800 cars. They haven’t even given Porsche time to investigate and resolve the issue, and they are already talking lawsuits and buybacks.
