Yes and my dealer has told me he checks each of his car orders every day and mine was 1200 yesterday. He also told me that the status changes around 10am if there is an update.

Just one month today (plus 5 hours) before I take it for a spin!

Thanks for the update, you'd have thought that BMW would have locked it down by now.

+ Has your dealer mentioned the Brands Hatch driving day on the 19th of June (see thread link below), if not and you are interested get them to secure you a place ASAP!
(Dealers have to book and pay for both you and your salesman to attend - BMW UK provide the M3/M4's).

Car is now in status 5000 Planned for Assembly. Chassis number and VIN have been allocated.

Congratulations! - So the magic lock down date is 2 weeks prior to build.

My M4 is 2 weeks behind you (BW 25) and still stuck on 1200 (I've just checked and no movement).

Thanks, for Brands Hatch info, though I'll give that a miss.

My dealer emails me a screen shot once a week, or more frequently if the car changes status, so I probably wont phone that premium rate number.

I'm just excited, as I guess you are.

I wonder what the HOL means

Various conversations with my dealer have led me to believe that "Pref Cust hand Dt" is (by default) a system calculated earliest possible approx handover date based on your Production Week. However, given that mine is 30/06/2014 and my BW is 2 weeks later than yours + 21/06/2014 is the official M3/M4 launch and first delivery date, there is a good chance that your car will arrive several days before the 21st. As a result of which I would say that HOL means HOLD until 21/06/2014.

In summary, were it not for the official M3/M4 launch and first delivery date being the 21/06/2014, your "Pref Cust hand Dt" would probably have been 16/06/2014.

Very exciting, and yes, I'm inclinded to agree theat HOL means Hold especially since my dealer has told me I cannot have it until the 21st.

Dealer is still trying to get a pdf manual; I'd really like to read it before I get the car; if my car does arrive early, I'll take the manual home with me before I can pick up the car.

One of the best things about my car is that it is red, I hated the colour of my bluewater 330d. Anyway, I'll get photos as soon as I can.

I've also noticed, I'm one of the few that seem to have order the TV.

I couldn't see myself watching TV in the car that often so I opted for the £95 6AR Internet option rather than the £825 601 TV option which I'm hoping will allow me to watch TV via iplayer etc.. on the occasions that I require it, stuck in a traffic jam etc....

+ I've also opted for 6FV Online Entertainment.

Failing all of that I've nearly always got my iphone + ipad + work BB with me for the traffic jam type scenarios.

Interesting, I've not gone for either 6AR or 6FV, but I too will use my iphone.

I do wonder if BMW are using an SSD this time; otherwise i'll keep my music on a micro USB stick rather than the internal hard drive

Hi all been following the forums since December, placed my M4 order mid feb and the wait is driving me insane!! Originally had a BW23 but for some reason this has been moved to BW26.

Did your BW move in either direction since order? Hoping that I will get moved forward but seeming less likely as each week passes.

Not ordered the CCB's so no idea why the three week delay.

A word of caution to those ordering LED lights - I decided against these as I have them on my M6. Whilst they're a much whiter light than xenons (and even more so in comparison to Halogens), I'm not sure my M6's LED's even have the range of the xenons in our M135i so I definitely wasn't going to pay £1,600 for the option. Saying this, if I hadn't experienced them already then I'd probably go for them too, if only out of curiosity!

What I would wholeheartedly recommend if budget allows (and seems to be backed up in the reviews) are the carbon brakes. I have these on the M6 and BMW have got their ceramic brake design bang-on for road use - sure, it could be deemed as overkill but the consistent feel and the confidence they give from the immense stopping power make them one the most enjoyable options I've ever spec'd. Also, the total absence of brake dust means the wheels always look clean. Sadly, they were out of budget for the M3 but if you're not so constrained, then I highly recommend them.

I'd take your M6 in because my M5 LEDS blow away my M135i and the E92 M3.
CCB is supposedly causing order delays also.

Hi there, how frustrating - Strange that you were quoted BW23 at the start given that I ordered February 1st and have stayed at BW25 the whole time.

Anything unusual on your spec or did you change it all?

Hi M4, my order was the first with the dealer and I placed the order and paid the deposit. Dealer called around two days later and notified me that they had loaded the order and the build date was BW23.

I made some small changes very early, not sure it would cause a delay. From memory unchecked sliding armrest and sun protection glass and checked speed limit display.

I guess if your order is anything to go by I will stay BW26.

Highlighted in white/red is "LAUNCH HOL" meaning Launch Hold until 21 June, which is when I'm due to collect.
