Anyone had steel drive shaft?

Trying to find out whether the M4 CP I have on order will have the steel rather than CF drive shaft. I assume it will, latest intel seemed to say Q2’18 start, but not heard anyone saying this actually happened?

Anybody know the latest? I guess they’ll use up the stocks before switching ...

Richard.

If it's being built now then it will. I think. There is a thread in the main section with details.

Im in the same boat (build starts first week in Sept for an end Sept delivery). From my understanding, our cars will have to have a ppf fitted and due to its location, the wider diameter CF drive shaft is too big hence the steel one being fitted.

That's my understanding - all cars produced July onwards have to have ppf and the steel prop shaft was needed to accommodate it and was introduced ahead of July...

Thanks and yes I assume we’re getting steel now ... just was expecting someone to have spied one and/or confirmed new part number for their VIN.
