In comfort low speed compression damping over square edge broken pavement is acceptable whereas in sport it feels harsh. Conversely in comfort and sport high speed compression damping is good whereas rebound damping is insufficient in comfort (bouncy) and sport is very good. In either mode more rounded and undulating pavement is handled well. I don't use Sport+ enough to know the difference in that mode. As others noted it would seem like a stiffer unibody + directly bolted rear subframe would allow for more fine tuned suspension tuning for maximum traction and it seems that this suspension is optimized for fairly smooth roads. Unfortunately that's not a great recipe for putting down power on seriously crappy pavement.
