Bimmercode issue (Instrument cluster won't turn off) Resolved!!

Hi guys.

I downloaded the bimmercode app for my car and bought the veepeack via the app. I really just wanted to have my rear DRLs on and have the front DRLs set to 100%. I never went to expert mode. Followed the instructions to a T. Now my instrument cluster lights won't go off. If I lock my doors they simply stay on and drain the battery. Any suggestions on what might be causing this. I reset everything back to OEM and the instrument cluster lights still won't turn off.

I have a stock 2019 M4 with BM3 stage 1 tune.. 6speed MT

Thanks

Hi guys.. if you can think of anything I would appreciate it. Somehow my car started this morning even with the instrument cluster lights being on all night long. I've contacted Bimmercode and hopefully they can figure something out. I'm super worried

Thanks

All you did is use Bimmercode and now your cluster won't turn off? Exactly what parameters did you update? I would not have thought that coding could cause that to happen. Have you unplugged the OBD adapter?

I coded the tail light DRLs to be on, Active sound off, I updated the headlight DRLs to be at 50% with lights on, and coded the door handle lights to be on in reverse.

UPDATE: I contacted Bimmercode (they were super quick to reply) and they suggested I unplug my negative battery terminal for 10 minutes. It worked!!

Thank you Jesus! I was so worried I had screwed something up.

Super happy to have rear DRLs.

Strange, not sure if the issue was related to your coding but glad to hear it's resolved, thanks for sharing your solution.

Thank you. Probably one of those 1 in 1,000 cases. I'm known for having bad luck
