I'm interested in the charger but I can't find much info on it. I have an iPhone XS Plus. Will it fit? How secure is it? I'd like to use it on the track for telemetry, I can't tell how it secures the phone.

See the image below, the phone rests on a rubber antislip mat. There’s a metal tab that is pushing down on the top of the phone that keeps it in place. The height is adjustable so it should fit your iPhone XS Max. (It’s also listed as compatible in the manual)

There's a bunch of DIY on this type of retrofit here and on the F30 forums. You should check those out. I removed these parts because I did not want the heated steering wheel feature, so all I have to offer are some of the parts needed for the retrofit.
