Trunk overheating from muffler (how to insulate)

Hey so my muffler is heating my chassis in the trunk and I would like to insulate or prevent this heating.

Any pointers to keep the chassis and trunk cooler?

Reason: meth pump is in the trunk chassis bay by the battery, and it does get pretty hot!

Thanks for recommendation. Seems like it's more for sound deadening tho than high heat

I never seen this as an issue before and I've seen a lot of meth kits in F8X trunks. Maybe the best way to handle this is from the outside instead so you can let airflow while driving do some of the work. High temp heat wrap the pipes from the muffler and maybe lining the top of it with something like this that you can't see? I've used this type of self-adhesive reflective shield stuff on other applications and it works well.

Yeah I mean it's nothing of great alarm but it does get pretty warm. Fine to touch but it's hot. The M2C rear box is huge and idk if it sits closer than the F8x

That was exactly my thought tho. Was thinking getting some solid spray adhesive too for this gold foil cuz I've dealt with the rolls before, they arnt that sticky. Place all on the frame and call if a day.

I bought some thermal insulation to try in mine. At the track that compartment got so hot it triggered the thermal shutoff on my dashcam battery in there.

There's already a heat shield on the underside between the muffler and body so your options are to either insulate that compartment inside, or to try and put some coating on the muffler top to prevent heat going up that way.

Thermo-tec will do the job. Wrap exhaust and floor of trunk

For trunk:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00029KC2K...th=1&psc=1

I like this one because it has the adhesive backing

For exhaust:
https://www.thermotec.com/product/ex...e-f-thermo-tec

Obviously, the brand is not important as long as it works but I've had good experiences with this one.
