3 bimmers in a year. (My m4 build thread)
Kind of a crazy story, but here it is.
In March 2020 I decided to get my first BMW. It was a jet black 2013 328i sport line. Hella base. small screen. Cool dad shades though. Loved that car. Modded her. Took tremendous care of her, even though she sounded like she was gargling screws. Was incredibly stoked on the car. Until I discovered the dreaded timing chain issue. Once BMW settled the lawsuit I knew I had to get rid of her. I took the money required to do the timing chain guides and made a move. That was October 2020. I welcomed my first BMW 6 cylinder with open arms. A 2015 435 m sport.. Fully loaded. Minus adaptive dampers, blue brakes, and heated steering. A beauty. Well maintained. I went immediately to work. My 435i got all the treatments. Stage 2 bm3. Beauty mods I enjoy. New wheels. Meticulous maintenance. A fairly inexpensive car that garnered a lot of attention, that I was very proud of. That brings me to this week. For many of us who love BMW the M is the pinnacle. The m4 being my personal dream car. On Friday night I was messing around on BMWUSA website building a 2022 g82 m4. At the end of my $95k build it asked if I wanted to check the trade value of my car. I did. They offered $18k and it said "local dealer may contact you". I literally thought nothing of this. Next day, my brother's friend John texts me up, tells me he works at BMW here, and ABSOLUTELY HAS AN M4 HE CAN GET ME IN. Honestly I had just added coilovers and did the brakes on the 435i a little over a week ago. Had the ofhg fixed too. But to his credit, he did have a gorgeous, incredibly well maintained, winter garaged, 2016 mineral white m4 with 30500 miles. Non comp, pre lci, with 437m's, mpss's, front led's, executive package, dct, rear shade, full merino leather, enhanced Bluetooth, black grilles, and m perf exhaust and titanium tips. He was able to get me a price low enough that even with loan rollover I was only a couple thousand above clean retail value. Put down a few grand, got a great rate, and today I am the owner of my dream car (and a higher car payment). Let the build begin!

Congrats man! Beautiful car, you'll love it.
Don't worry about the higher car payments... the "mod bug" is going to end up costing you way more haha |

Fantastic car! Congratulations. Enjoy every mile.
PS. "Gargling screws" ought to be added to Bentley maintenance manual as of the new diagnostic observations with its own fault code. |

G82 has grown on me a lot honestly. It's heavily dependent on color and package but I do like it more than I used to. Plus we now know the performance is nice. M5 IS the nicest sedan to me though.

Parts finally started coming in this week. I put in the clear reflectors. Installed bwe customs lower extensions, and a cf rear diffuser from bulbxpert on ebay.

Tints done today. 18% carbon all around (for the blackness), and 70% 3m ceramic on the windshield.

Ferrada FR2's went on today. They were for my 435i so the front offset is off from an m4. Running stock tire size MPSS 255/35 and 275/35 19x8.5 et33 and 19.9.5 et35. 10mm spacers in front and 5mm spacers in rear. That keeps the front wheels about the same spot as stock, poke wise, and the rears out a little more, with the tires much more meaty and full looking. I love it. Tires still have clearance, same contact patch, and when the Swift springs go on, on the 21st, I believe I will be thrilled...
Till they blow a shock and I get m perf has.

Chrome delete is complete, and we installed the Swift lowering springs today. Ok NOW I feel like I'm getting somewhere.
