i need to try an open filter setup on this car to see if adds some more character to the sound/driving experience, before spending the big boy money on an eventuri

what's the cheapest open intake on the market, not fussed about brand, only going to do a couple drives then turf it......for stock or eventuri baller lyf

sounds good here, dct will prevent the ricer whoosh getting off throttle bw shifts

Popp the grills out carefully and unloosen the filters to clean and oil them up. Reverse steps to put them back in. After a while u get a hang of it easily, hope this helps

I'm huge fan of front mount intake design.
F8X was released in 2015 and until this date not a single vendor offered a free dyno run with a purchase of X intakes...

Stillen have the same design (even better) front mount intake and they charge 600-700% cheaper and they offered many dyno run at the time of the release...

If a vendor want to charge $2k for pipes and filters then it's shame that they don't offer dyno run.

Please don't tell me R&D crap made the price go up, most intake manufacturer went though R&D (stillen for example)

Please don't tell me M cars are rare that's why prices are higher. I see M cars more than Nissan Z or Infiniti Q60/G37.

I insist on you before you buy intake to ask for an offer.
Free dyno to prove the claim at 3rd party dyno
If the result didn't match the claim you can ask 100% full refund.

If the vendor refused, then walk away and keep your stock.

Although I love the look of carbon fiber intakes, my brain will never let me spend 2k or more for Eventuri etc. I have tried bms and I couldn’t get over the idle issues. So for me I’m leaning towards bmc filters and removing the charcoal filters. Can anyone, beyond a vendor, provide feedback?

A majority of the 3rd party dynos have proven that intakes for the most part do not give any gain - just sound.

I have MSR intakes on my car, and my car made the same amount of power on stage 1 tune as a bone stock car with the same ecu flash....

I know you're not looking for a vendor response, but if you're not looking to spend a lot then filters get the job done. The intakes are basically just solely sound and looks

You'll hear slightly more noise, as the stock airboxes are sealed.

I had my BMC air filters installed & charcoal filters removed @ EAS while Tom coded my car for me. In comfort, sport and sport plus I hear significantly more from the turbos, you can really hear them spool. It sounds really good from the outside too, I had a friend do some drive by's in my car right after I had them done. Spending a fraction of what I would have on an intake, I have the same performance I would have with a super expensive bling setup and also saved a good chunk of money.

Something that i learned last night ... i took my car out and vboxed it on my bms intakes ... did a 7.5 2 times in a row ... put the stock intakes back on and ran 7.4 2 times in a row ... seems to me the stock intakes on my particular setup work better ... although they are too quiet for my liking ... intake air temps were 3 degrees cooler on the highway as well

Hey,

My mistake! "BMS intake", Not "BMC (A.F.'s)"

All's good!

Cheers!

Isn't the BMS intake the one that causes erratic idling and cels?

Either way like everyone says intakes for this car is for sound. I love how my Eventuri intake sounds when you are above 3K under load with ASD coded off. Helps covers the shitty exhaust sounds this platform makes
