Hehe, I’m guilty of the 4x4 reference. First thing I took care of on both my M4s!

Same here, both my M3 and M4CS were lowered on HAS. Not that much though!

I was glad I got a choice from the Porsche factory on my Cayman so I don't have to mess with it. Standard, 10 or 20 MM drop.

I think the new M2 is the last hope, or maybe an LCI that improves the G82. I think I’m locked into my M4 for at least three years, oh well not a bad place to be haha.

The G87's fenders remind me a lot of the 1M.

Now please M, try to keep the weight down, the M2C is already a porker.

Nothing in the segment? Giulia QV? RS5? Porsche 911 (i dont know the prices in your country)
Even the new C63 will be better in design. Despite is 2.0l hybrid...

No way I’d get an Alfa or Audi, I only drive manuals so those along with MB are out. A standard 911 is way too much for what you get compared to an M4, and honestly I only like the Porsche GT cars. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Thoughts on CT4/5-V Blackwing 6MT?

Not even in the United States is there a rival in the same segment? I only know the European market, sorry.
How much for a Cayman GTS 4.0 in the US?

I think minn19 would say it is worth every penny.

Maybe.

Also, about the Giulia QV. My biggest thing with that car when I had some time with it, was the brakes. It was completely inconsistent and annoying as hell to modulate. ZF8 wasn't as well programmed as the ones in the Ms either.

Oh 100% worth every penny, they are fantastic cars, but realistically most people likely aren't getting a base spec Porsche sports car.

I really wouldn't say it is a rival. I love the CGTS 4.0, but the M4 is a much more versatile DD and still trackable/dual purpose car. Even without kids etc, I wouldn't want the Cayman to be my only vehicle. That is the M4s trump card over the Caymans/Boxsters and even 911s. That is why people are so pissed. As it was really the only viable coupe that was good at both. They are watering down the trackable side of it in many people's opinions forcing them to look elsewhere with the G series. This doesn't take into account the obviously polarizing looks. Thankfully, there is still the M2 for BMW diehards. But, you need a CS to match an M4 comp in a lot of peoples opinions and you do without a lot of the options that are available on the M4 comps IIRC.

But, if you can have a car without compromises like a Cayman, it is really an amazing driving experience/tons o fun.

Nope, mine was 108k MSRP. And I you could've easily added 10k plus more in doo dads etc.

I had the same thoughts when I was looking at the 911.1. It has more space than the Cayman for a DD, but not for someone with kids. Everyone who says that the rear seats are usable, but if you take a hard look, its barely usable. The frunk still doesn't replace the trunk of a car like the F82 or F80. That was one of the fundamental reasons that I passed on it as I wanted to take my kids out on road trips and have memories.

Someday.

Ideally we can all do what @Tommy L Garage did and keep the F80 and get a side cayman. Haha

I know its sedan vs coupe, but still, photos like these just make the F8X look even better.
