That is his own fault. I wouldn't have posted this stuff in the first place, but if you do, don't friggin mention which dealer you got it from FFS!

Do like others here, who post vids of their highway pulls 'in Mexico'. Well post all the information you want, from 'Mexico'.

Didn't know all of that was shared. But in any case, RELEASE THE CONTENT AND REVIEWS.

They've got examples at dealers around the country, people apparently taking secret deliveries. There's another thread just now on the homepage with some member driving a demo. (Sounds good from the inside.) Just get the hell out of the way. The car is what it is, what are they doing.

All of the so called YouTube “influencers” (not harrismonkey) that are begging for likes and subscriptions get the car &give us highly opinionated reviews, okee dokeey.

a guy that actually paid for his car gets it before the 13th; review it then Bmw shuts it down.

That has nothing to do with the customer.

That is an internal problem.

Stop trying to control so much BMW, let the man eat and enjoy his sandwich.

As one guy in the G80 thread alluded, there are regulatory elements that must be followed before the product goes on sale to the public.

Either the dealership didn't follow rules or was not informed properly. I'd say it's the former.

Funny thing is, the same happened in 2015 when a member on here from Dubai received his F80 way earlier than the rest of the world. I don't think he was told to delete anything, though.

10 March is when the embargo is lifted and cars go on sale, apparently.

Personally, I think I'd take the opinion of somebody who bought this car 'sight unseen' with as big a pinch of salt as the "influencers".

I wonder what those are? I'd be very surprised if a dealer delivered a car that wasn't lawfully allowed to be driven on the street. I'd think the liability would be to great etc. So internal BMW stuff or are they really that stupid?

Probably both.

We had cars arriving on US soil that couldn't go on sale or even to journalists because of on-going emission certification processes.

Don't know what's going on at BMW AG or BMW NA. I think that even if there weren't any internal issues, they still don't want dealers to deliver vehicles before the official sale start date.

There's so much going on behind the scenes in automotive it's crazy. I've hopped out of the industry a couple years back but want to go back.

I'm surprised we don't have any semi-public BMW NA employees on Bimmerpost. Or they're being very secretive about their job. Definitely could tell us a thing or two right now as to what's happening.

I wish I could get some of that koolaid too. I really wish I could like this car, I hated the grill but the more I see the less I hate the grill and the more pissed off I get that everything else is a design disaster.

Why did they have to fuck it all up!? I don’t see the LCI fixing much either as the whole body would need to be redesigned.

Weirdly enough my car is still marketed for close to what I purchased it for because for some reason all 18+ models are gone from sale and there are only a handful of 15-17 left combined between the M3 and M4.

I am trying really hard to like it but I don't unfortunately. The interior is nice with a very premium feel over its predecessor. I'll give it that but it's a complete mess on the outside besides the wheels. The wheels are really cool. Much more aggressive than the 666's. I feel like they are trying way too hard because the lines are all over the damn place and nothing flows.

First, the front end is a disaster with the obnoxious grilles and the power-dome is gone.

Second, the side profile is too busy with lines everywhere. The M4 loses the Hofmeister Kink and looks like an Infiniti Q60. While the M3 where the rear door meets the quarter panel is downright awful. What in the world is that? Fake side grills too? Really?

Finally, the rear is okay but the diffuser goes way too high and it's very boxy looking.

Overall it's just a no from me. Look it's my opinion and I hope whoever likes and buys them enjoys the fresh experience. It will most likely be faster and or handle better than our F80/F82's but so do many other vehicles in our segment. I remember when BMW used to do collaborations with real race and enthusiast brands like Dinan, AC Schnitzer etc. The F1 program is also long gone. BMW M has moved away from what made them so popular. It's all about sales and numbers now. The Chinese market, and social media influencers have really put the nail in the coffin for us enthusiasts. Instead of keeping and expanding their Motorsport program they're moving to a more fashion/status statement. KITH a prime example.

Again it's sad but look it's the future of BMW. They're going to continue to sell vehicles no matter if we like them or not.

Hold on to your current M cars guys and gals. You own a piece of history.
