I asked them that specifically and they said they checked the alignment and it was all good. So hopefully that is accurate

Kind of hard to believe that the alignment wouldn't shift, but its possible it is still within spec. I would ask for a print out of the results. Did they need to fix the front too?

No, no change or work needed to the front at all. Basically all they had to do was remove the extra bump stops that were floating around in the spring coil in the rear... yes it seems insane this happened lol

They said... "the instructions were vague" ... uh huh

But the one pictured in your rear spring is an MPHAS part.

You should take pics of the four they removed. Visually you should be able to tell as well.

You are good. These are my take offs. Can see part numbers if needed.

Old OEM stops have the four dimples...new MP-HAS stops have a crisscross to hold the shaft.

PKL: Please measure (in mm) your front and rear height. Measure from the bottom of the wheel straight up until the fender. I'm curious to see your measurements in relation to your photos.

I'll take some more photos too.
Bottom of the RIM? Not bottom of the tire/the ground?

Bottom of the rim. See the first post in this thread.
That way we are all measuring it the same way in this thread.

I measured 25.25 inches rear 26 inches front
641 mm rear 660 front
that's very unscientific, not a very good measuring tape
Also found a nail in my front tire

Based on others measurements mine don't make much sense, I'll have to try again with a much better measuring tape that has mm or at least cm

First of all, as long as you are happy with the ride height and performance and the install appears correct, then that's all that matters.

With that said, I think your measurements make perfect sense because your car def doesn't look lower than that when comparing to others in this thread with lower heights.

Does anyone know if the M4 doesn't go as low with the MPHAS? It's so interesting to me how your car is dialed all the way down, but is still sitting "relatively" on the high side.

Here is my M3 for comparison. Def lower and I still have threads to go.

Def. looks like something is off on the front, Scott13's M4 is maxed out front and rear (see few pages back on this thread) and his looks dumped compared to yours. If you can take some shots of the front strut setup (left and right) with the wheel off, and steering straight, including bumpstop. Looking at your initial pics you posted it almost appears the sleeve on one of the struts is lower than the one on the other side. But can't tell if it's an optical illusion due to your wheels being turned.

PKL: yeah, get a measuring tape with mm on it. I don't think you measured correctly because 641 mm rear and 660 mm front sounds waaaay too high.

And to answer your question, yes, measure starting from the bottom of the rim (which is the 0 mm mark) then go straight up until you touch the fender. This is the official method to measure per BMW install instructions. Doing it this way will not generate inconsistencies for people who have different profile tires and inflation specs.

Here is the measuring tape combo I bought. I used the black retractable one...works well and very cheap!

Indeed, your measurements do not make sense, they fall outside of the HAS adjustment range.
