Are you a fan of the pss or ps4s? I’ve heard various preferences, but the opinion seemed to be that if you get a flat you can still drive for a little while to a repair shop on the PSS, while the PS4s are slightly more grippy. Thoughts? Thx

I did daily my Cup 2s during the 2022 track season and I put what was left of them back on earlier this year for a road trip to Vancouver and they were insanely loud. Personally I wouldn't buy Cup 2s again but mainly due to the "longevity x grip x price ratio" if that makes sense. PS4S is much better in that regard. Also sorry my inbox was full but I got a message notification. Cleared if you wanna send it again.

If you're not tracking there is no benefit to the Cup2s. In fact, they are slower than PS4S until you have proper heat in them, which cannot be achieved on the street.
Cup2's are great tires, for a specific purpose. |

Again, at normal street temps the PS4s is more likely to hold traction than Cup2's. Whether they will hold all the traction of your tune is another matter, but if they don't, neither will Cup2's on the street.
After properly warming up the tires (which really can't be achieved on the street), the Cup2's will stick better. Last edited by ashmostro; 10-24-2023 at 09:22 PM.. |

If you stab the throttle hard enough, warmed up PS4S will still wheelspin on stock tune on a roll
I'm currently running MPS4S on 275/35-19 in the rear with -20% torque reduced stage 1 Bootmod 3, have to ease into the throttle for a pull |

305/30/20 PS4S Will still lose grip in lower gears if you go full throttle (GTS tune). By lower gears I mean buh bye 1st and potentially all of 2nd. It is what it is with these cars and the conditions your in can and will exasperate the situation (cold weather = even less traction.

Was planning on leaving 1st and 2nd stock tuned and running the GTS time from 3rd gear on. Will probably make for less wheel spin earlier on.
Thanks for all your feedback. |

I’ve noticed that with the tune it likes to push through the PS4S more easily. I’m also in the market for new tires, debating on replacements or upgrading to a stickier tire at the cost of wet/all season traction. So far, I’m leaning towards a replacement set. Unless I had a dedicated winter or high-performance all season wheel/tire set. Which is what I’m also debating on picking up, but at x3 the price. |
