Burning plastic smell?
I recently done an oil change, and I started to notice a smell when I drove. Smelled like burnt plastic/rubber. Sometimes it would go through the AC vents but mostly when I step outside the car is when I can notice it. No smoke is coming out either. Is it a possible oil leak somewhere? I scanned through the engine bay and found two areas where possible oil leaks could occur. Any ideas?

did you do an engine flush before the oil change? sometimes it can erode the gaskets and cause small leaks, speaking from personal experience. i would recommend taking the belly pan off and inspecting for fresh oil.
if you still cant find anything, check your belts to see if they’re rubbing. last resort, drain the oil, put new oil, drive for 100-200 miles, drain oil and check how much came out vs how much you put in. it should be about the same since you’re only driving 100-200 miles but if you’re losing over a half a quart of oil in that range, there’s a leak somewhere and you’d have to take another look

I was dealing with something very similar, I thought the VCG was leaking and oil was seeping onto the downpipes/turbo. However I found that it was a plastic bag that had stuck itself on the exhaust causing the burning plastic/rubber smell. Look under the car on the passenger side to see if anything stuck itself to the exhaust

same exact thing happened to me, plastic stuck on the exhaust takes a while to get rid of that's for sure
