I pick up my MY17 F82 today, hopefully the Mophie case will fit, I was hoping it was the same charging cradle as in my wife's F16.
I've used the feature in my wife's vehicle, it's not a hassle, but have forgotten my phone a few times, with it out of sight!

My '17 has enhanced USB and when I saw the thing in the arm rest I was really WTF to the genius who didn't know anything about it. Happy about the extra mic but that's about it for now.

At first I wanted to rip it out. Now it seems phone technology just needs to catch up the cars..?

So it's wireless charging ? Cool.
Guess we will have to wait until there is a wireless charging case for iPhone 7 owners.

You can buy a Lightning Qi charging pad from Amazon, and insert into an existing case, and it will charge your iPhone wirelessly.

I won't get another phone that doesn't have wireless charging because its so handy, but that thing in the center console is darn useless.

that's what I was hoping for because a week before I ordered my car the option was free to have Wireless Charging and WiFi Hotspot now it falls under Executive Package

This is the BMW wireless charging case for the iPhone, very similar to the $19 case in Amazon. Not sure if it's worth the $75

Isn't the iPhone 7 the same size as the iPhone 6 (Plus models)? So if I get a BMW charger case for iPhone 6 Plus, it should work with iPhone 7 plus right?

The thing that bothers me with it is, if I put a phone with a case on that's lrger than 5.2" it won't fit or if it fints snugly, it won't charge, like with an S7 Edge and a case, it would barely fit but won't charge with a case, take out the case and it charges fine but with the regular/smaller S7, it charges every time even with a case.

Not what worries me is the new phones are all larger like the Galaxy S8 I wonder how that would fit with a case. They really should make the charging cradle bigger since a lot of people have larger phones

I preordered an S8+. It certainly won't ever be seeing that charging cradle.

S8 with UAG case fits perfectly in the wireless cradle and actually charges at a decent rate! Glad to be done with that POS S7E that didnt fit nor charge correctly (mainly just overheated!)

My samsung s6 edge + measures 5.59" according to samsung site and I can get it to fit with me forcing open the slide a little more . I think anything larger you wouldnt be able to force it open more . lol

Doesn't work...

This is with me pulling the spring-loaded end all the way back with my fingers. As soon as you release that the charging stops and the phone falls off. (iPhone 8 plus)
