Cellink B/Neo Install for Dashcam

Anyone have good suggestions or DIY on where and how they installed a Cellink B/Neo unit in their BMW for a Dashcam?

Searched and 2 pages of hits, essentially mentions, nothing detailed.

Aren’t they installed typically under the trunk board?

Dunno.

If so, they need a switched power connection from somewhere and a LONG wire to the front.

That's why I am asking.

Iirc the Cellink is connected to fuse box and the camera box is connected to the rear Cellink. The only cable that runs all the way to the front is the actual cable for the video connection and typical install cables .

I guess since I don’t have one I’ll refrain and let others chime in. I’ve been looking at this setup for a while now and pieced this information together from various sources.

I THOUGHT there was a detailed diy here but I also couldn’t find it via google.

Sorry man

Interesting, I got mine from BlackboxMyCar and that would have made my install easier but I was able to complete the install using the Cellink B without one. At least I dont believe I got an extended cable (it was just barely long enough to accomplish).

I've installed Celllink Neo on my F83 with expansion pack

Have these behind my rear sheet, powering from fuse box in trunk.

The cable was indeed short, so I bought extension cord at amazon
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07CQMHP33

The power cable from dashcam only goes to below passenger seat, then it is hooked to this extension cord to the celllink.

Hope it helps
