Anyone else get banned from the G8X section for making fun of its looks?

Looking at your response to me in that other thread, doesn't the smoking package give a cup insert AND the ashtray? That was my understanding. As for the AeroKit, my dealer didn't mention anything about it being an issue, but I'll follow up with them. If it delays my allocation, I'll just have to accept it. I really want that as part of my build. Lastly the exhaust, I have no plans to change the exhaust and I don't like the oval tips. Personal preference I suppose.

P.S. I'm going to try to find a car with the steering column leather and see what my opinion of it is.

Great video from TH as always. Funny how we were just talking about the R8 on here as well. Both these cars are phenomenal and would be amazing to own, a buddy of mine got a pre-facelift spyder and the experience of that V10 with the top down is hard to beat, shame the R8 will be extinct soon.

Good call on Smoking package. I may have been given bad info when I asked about that package.

Exhaust is absolutely a personal preference. So if you don't like the ovals makes sense to me.

I am pretty sure the tips are just bumper inserts and are not attached to the exhaust at all so it should be easy to just change stuff up back and forth without touching the exhaust.

Good point, the sport exhaust is still a quad exhaust but with oval tips making it look like a dual. I'm sure someone will create an after market tip set that'll work for a conversion. But since none exists now, and he is happy with the base exhaust, then probably doesn't make much difference to him I would imagine.

This. Audi and Porsche have proved that you can build a beautiful EV. I just can't quite get why every other manufacturer's decision process defaults to what is the ugliest design we can think of to make this car "stand out" as an EV. I don't want to "stand out" I want it to look like a work of art that happens to be powered by electricity.

Well, I meant you could possibly get the sport exhaust option and retrofit the standard non-sport trim back on. or the other tips they sell

The problem with this LCI is despite the G01 being a G-Chassis vehicle its definitely based on the F-Chassis vehicle design language (similar to G30 5er and G11 7er) which is more traditional. The problem is all these G-Design Language features don't exactly blend well with the more traditional design. That being said it's definitely much better than the 7er LCI and the 4er, but I'm not much a fan of the lower front bumper or taillights.
